教学过程
Step 1.Warming up. Enjoy a song-Panda. T: Boys and girls, welcome to my English class. First, let’s enjoy a song together. Watch and answer. T: What’s the song about (Watch the video.) S: It’s about pandas. 设计意图:歌曲panda呈现了熊猫的不同形象,展示了本课的两个主体元素panda,bamboo,与本课内容息息相关,同时歌词、旋律朗朗上口。学生在听的同时,能够迅速建立对本课的初步印象,这为之后的学习进行了铺垫。 Step 2. Lead-in. T: What do you know about pandas S: They’re black and white./ They’re cute./ They are very important./There are many pandas in Sichuan... Let’s learn more! 设计意图:利用关于熊猫的头脑风暴,让学生谈论对熊猫的了解,激活学生已有的知识储备,为学生进一步学习熊猫和其他动物的习性做好铺垫。 Step 3. Presentation. Background information. T: Look, they’re our old friends, Simon and Daming. Simon gave a new DVD to Daming. You should pay attention to the word g-a-v-e, gave. Give- gave. Read after me, give- gave. Good job! Watch and answer. T: What’s the DVD about Can you guess? S:Maybe it’s about pandas. T: Good guess! Let’s watch the video. (Watch the video.) T: Can you tell me now Have a try! S: It’s about animals. T: Wonderful! And what are the animals S: They are pandas and snakes. T: Let’s learn more about them. 设计意图:通过介绍故事的背景,自然地引出本课谈论的光盘。引导学生猜测光盘与什么相关,与学生一起观看课文的全部视频动画,建立完整的故事脉络。学生了解到光盘是与动物有关的,其中介绍了熊猫和蛇。为接下来进一步学习熊猫和蛇的习性做好准备。 Watch and answer. T: Look, Daming is watching the new DVD. And it’s about pandas. Now, here are two questions for you. What do pandas love How many hours do they eat a day Please watch and answer. (Watch the video.) T: How cute they are! What do pandas love S: Pandas love bamboo. T: Follow me, bamboo. Double O says /u:/, /u:/. Can you read these words. S: school/ zoo/food/ cool. T: And how many hours do they eat a day S: They eat for twelve hours a day. 设计意图:学生带着学习任务,观看视频,学习熊猫的生活习性。在这个过程中,学生能够有目的地在视频动画中找出问题的答案。随文识词时,老师要注意banboo作为新词的呈现,学生在学习的过程中要能正确认读。 T: Lucky pandas! And look here, we can see a snake. The snake can use its body to dance. Pay attention to the meaning of “its”. Please think about the questions. Do snakes love music Why (Watch the video.) T: It seems that the snake can dance with the flute. Do they love music S: No, they don’t. T: Why S: They’re almost deaf. T: You can read the word, almost. Repeat after me, almost, almost. “They’re almost deaf.” means “they can’t hear the music”. What’s the meaning of “deaf” Yes, it means “not be able to hear.” “ea” says /e/ /e/, deaf. Think and answer. T: So, please think about it. Does the snake really dance with the flute It can’t even hear the music. S: No, it doesn’t. It says the snake thinks the flute is dangerous, so it gets frightened. T: Wow! You have thought so carefully. We can see snakes don’t have ears, but it can feel the vibration by the skin and bones. So it gets frightened by the flute. Look at the new word “frightened”. “igh”says /ai/, fright, frighten,frightened.Try to read these words, go! S: light /night/ fight/ right. 设计意图:学生带着问题继续学习与蛇有关的内容,观看视频动画,探究蛇是否喜欢音乐,从文中得出的结论是蛇并不喜欢音乐,因为他们几乎是聋的。在随文识词的过程中,学生要注意感受its, almost, deaf, frightened的意思和用法。在学习新词时,老师要提醒学生注意字母及字母组合的发音,帮助学生利用自然拼读法记忆单词,形成有效的单词记忆方法。 T: Wonderful! You can read all of them. Daming and Grandma watched the DVD together. And What do they think of the DVD S: Fantastic! T: Wow, it’s fantastic. Daming likes it very much. What a great present from Simon! 设计意图:学生能够运用所学语言评价光盘,是一份很棒的礼物。锻炼学生的综合语言运用能力。 Listen and repeat. T:After we talked about the story, please open your book and turn to page 38. Let’s listen and repeat. (Students read after the audio.) T: You read loudly and confidently. And I want you to read correctly, fluently and emotionally. 设计意图:第一课时的内容,听、读的练习十分重要。学生要有足够的输入,才能够慢慢学习、内化进而输出。同时,提出学生朗读课文的要求,正确、流利、有感情,达到其中一个标准,可得一星,鼓励学生向这个标准看齐。 Step 4. Practise. T: You read very well. Now let’s practise. I will show you some animals. We are going to talk about their habits. Look carefully, what do they like S:Pandas love bamboo./ Sheep like grass./ Elephants like water./ Bears like sleeping in winter./ Dogs like playing with children./ Snakes love the sun. T: Clap for you all! You did a good job. We learnt so many things about animals, and we know animals are different and special. So we should love and protect animals. Let’s do it! 设计意图:在学习了熊猫和蛇的一些生活习性后,对其他的动物及其习性进行拓展,内容贴近学生生活,在练习本课重点的同时,也激发学生的学习兴趣。并进行自然的情感升华,在学生感受到动物的不同与独特时,号召他们要爱护动物。 Step 5. Summary. T: Today we talked about a fantastic DVD. There are two kinds of animals. They’re pandas and snakes. Pandas love bamboo. And they eat for twelve hours a day. Snakes don’t love music. They are almost deaf. 设计意图:引导学生总结本课内容,梳理文本脉络,进一步巩固本课所学知识。 Step 6. Homework. T: Boys and girls. We are going to say goodbye. There is different homework for you. If you choose No.1: listen and read the text three times. You can get one star. If you finish No.2: introduce pandas and snakes to your friends. You can get two stars. If you can find more information about your favourite animal, and make a poster about it. You can get three stars.
