内 容分 析 Lesson 2 Special Occasions主要包含两段听力材料：第一段的长对话以访谈的形式介绍了参加英国派对的衣着、带礼物、交谈方面的具体建议；第二部分由三个文段组成，分别是升学庆祝派对上的对话、毕业典礼上学生代表发言开头及其发言结束后介绍父母与老师认识的对话。本课在单元主题下着重关注学生跨文化交际中的礼仪问题，帮助学生在不同特殊场合下语言和行为得体，包括如何表示庆祝与感谢。
教 学目 标 By the end of this section, students will be able to: 1. talk about special occasions and appropriate behaviour for them; 2. grasp a skill related to listening for specific information; 3. get specific information from an interview and several conversations by using the listening skill; 4. learn about and practise congratulating and giving thanks; 5. prepare and present a short speech for a graduation ceremony using appropriate stress and intonation.

教 学 内 容 与 过 程 Step 1 Lead-in 引导学生思考如下问题，谈谈自己参加的特殊场合及其相关礼仪。 What special events did you attend What is the appropriate behaviour in these occasions 让学生完成活动1，结合自身知识，思考在英国参加婚礼或好朋友的生日会需要准备的东西以及考虑的事。 What do you need to prepare and what do you need to take into consideration Step 2 Pre-listening 让学生阅读Skill Builder的内容，掌握听细节的听力技巧。 What should we do before listening What should we do the first time we listen What should we do the second time we listen 引导学生在听前浏览Party advice里的信息，预测所填信息。 Step 3 While-listening 让学生完成活动2，将Party advice里的信息补充完整，之后借助这些信息谈论英国的派对建议。 让学生完成活动3，再次听录音，回答课本所示问题。 What do people do at formal and informal parties What are the differences What are the rules for attending parties in general Which piece of party advice do you find the most useful Why 让学生完成活动4，列出人们表示庆祝与感谢的场合，听并识别这些场合。 让学生完成活动5，听录音将课本所示表格补充完整。 让学生完成活动6，听录音，将Talk Builder补充完整。 Step 4 Post-listening 让学生完成活动6，找出正式场合的表达，并看听力文本，模仿听力音频中的语音和语调。 让学生完成活动7，借助Talk Builder中的内容，为毕业典礼准备一篇简短的演讲。 让学生完成活动8，轮流发表演讲。老师提醒学生在演讲中注意重音和语调。 Step 5 Homework Based on your teacher’s and classmates’ suggestions, revise your speech. And then make a recording of your speech. Search for more information, compare and contrast the similarities and differences in Chinese and international social manners for an event. 备注
