内 容分 析 Topic Talk包括两篇听力对话材料，第一篇呈现了两个朋友对中秋节的探讨，包括庆祝的时间和活动；第二篇说话者两人提前计划给Jenny一个生日惊喜的故事。情境符合学生认知需求，贴近生活实际，也呈现了本单元的主要话题——节日和特殊场合。作为本单元的起始课，起到了激活主题相关背景知识的作用，并为本单元后面的教学内容做了话题、词汇以及思维的铺垫。
教 学目 标 By the end of this section, students will be able to: 1. grasp the meaning of celebrations and special occasions by listing some festivals and special occasions; 2. listen to two dialogues about celebrations; 3. talk about their favourite festivals or occasions with their partners; 4. write a short paragraph about a traditional Chinese festival to a foreign friend; 5. discuss some quotes and their relation to festivals.
教 学 重 点 1. 引导学生通过举例掌握“celebrations”和“special occasions”的含义； 2. 引导学生听两段有关庆祝的对话； 3. 引导学生和同伴谈论他们最喜欢的节日或场合。
