“Excuse me.”是人们请求或询问情况常用的委婉用语,用于引起对方的注意,也可以在自己的行为可能会给对方带来不便的情况下使用。
辨析:Excuse me. 与I’m sorry.
Excuse me. 是有礼貌的事前用语。用于问路、问事以及插话、表示异议的场合中。
I’m sorry. 是有礼貌的事后用语。用于表示认错、道歉等。
e.g. —Excuse me, do you have a pen
打扰一下,你有钢笔吗?
—Sorry, I don’t have one.
对不起,我没有。
事前打扰别人用excuse me。
不能满足对方要求,道歉用sorry。

—Sure. 当然可以。
“may+动词原形”要牢记!
may 是情态动词,没有人称和数的变化,其后必须加动词原形。
“May I... ”是表示请求的句式,主语一般用第一人称I。

辨析:borrow 与lend
borrow 指“借入”,“向某人借某物”要用borrow sth. from sb.

That’s OK. 没关系。
“That’s OK.”是对方向你表示歉意时使用的句子。还可用作对方向你表示谢意时的回答,此时意为“不用谢”、“别客气”。
e.g. —Sorry, I am late. 很抱歉,我迟到了。
—That’s OK. 没关系。
—Thanks. 谢谢。
—That’s OK. 不用谢。/ 别客气。
表示“不用谢”或“没关系”的句子还有:That’s all right.
Not at all. No problem.
OK 是口语常用语,还可以写成okay,含义与all right 相似。
e.g. You can get basketballs here.
你们可以从这儿借篮球。

get...from... 从……借/ 得到……,
当地点为there/here 等词时,省略from。
get sth. for sb.
= buy sth. for sb.

辨析:some 与any
some “一些”,一般用于肯定句中,修饰可数名词复数或不可数名词;用于疑问句中,表示希望得到对方的肯定回答。
any “一些”,一般用于疑问句或否定句中。修饰可数名词复数或不可数名词。
e.g. He has some pens. 他有一些钢笔。
—May I borrow some books
我可以借一些书吗?
—Sorry. I don’t have any books.
很抱歉。我没有书。
一语辨异:I want to drink some water,but I don’t have any in my bottle. Could you give me some?
我想喝一些水,但是我的瓶子里没有了。你能给我一些吗?

一般用于分手或离开时,相当于“Bye-bye.”或“Goodbye.”。其答语常用“See you.”。
