Culture Tip
In English, you can use the words down and high to describe direction and height, like go down the street and the kite is high in the sky. But you can also use these words to describe feelings. To feel down means to feel sad. To feel high means to feel happy.

—I am/feel happy. 我感觉开心。
How do you feel... 常用I am/feel... 回答。feel 意为“感觉”,作连系动词,后跟形容词。

hurt 作不及物动词,特指人身体某部位的疼痛。作及物动词,主语是人,宾语是受伤的对象或身体部位。
e.g. My arm hurts. 我胳膊疼。
My head is hurt.
我的头受伤了。

e.g. Does your mother give you enough money

enough 修饰名词前面行,修饰形容词副词后面行。
作形容词,修饰名词。
作副词,修饰形容词。
enough作副词时,意为“十分;充分地; 足够地”, 置于被修饰的形容词或副词之后,常用结构“adj. /adv. +enough + to do sth.”, 表示“ 足够…… 做某事”。

辨析:sometimes,sometime,some time 与some times
sometimes 副词,意为“有时”,表示事情发生的频率,多用于一般现在时中,对其提问用how often。
sometime 副词,意为“某时”,指过去或将来某个不确定的时间点。
sometimes 可用于句首、句中或句末,相当于at times 或from time to time。
some time 名词性短语,意为“一些时间”,其中time 是不可数名词,意为“时间”。
some times 名词性短语,意为“几次”,其中time 是可数名词,意为“次数”。
速记小法:分开“一些时间”,相聚在“某时”,
“几次”s 加后面,“有时”s 紧相连。
e.g. Let’s have dinner together sometime next week.
下周找个时间我们一起吃顿饭吧。
Old people are sometimes forgetful. 老人有时爱忘事。

(2)laugh /lɑ f/ v. 笑,大笑
辨析:laugh 与smile
laugh 指一般的“发笑”或“出声大笑”,它意味着不但有面部表情,而且还有动作和声音,多指快乐、高兴,也指嘲笑(后接at)。
smile “微笑”,指无声的笑,重在笑容,表示愉快、亲切、友好等。
e.g. He smiles and goes out.
他微微一笑就出去了。
It’s better to laugh than weep.
笑比哭好。
Don’t laugh at him.
不要嘲笑他。
