In the olden days, about when your dad’s grandpa was a kid, there were no televisions, no video games, and not even many cars! People ate all their meals at home, or sometimes at another family’s home. They didn’t know the words “fast food” because all the food was prepared at home. Dear Disney,
Last weekend, my family spent an enjoyable holiday at the Magic Kingdom — Disneyland. And one event made our visit seem truly magical.
We got to the front of the line at Space Mountain, only to find out that our little daughter Gloria couldn’t take her ice cream on the ride. We were so excited that we all forgot ice cream was not allowed on the ride.
Gloria began to cry and we all had no idea what to do. Then Murphy, one of your staff (员工) came over. She told Gloria that she would hold the ice cream for her and give it to her when she finished the ride. Gloria said, “Promise?” Then she gave Murphy her ice cream.

“Whoosh!” The ball flew into the net and the game was finally over. This game had gone into overtime (加时赛) twice. Until the last goal was scored, no one had any idea which team would win.

Almost every kid in America has ever eaten Hershey Chocolate. Do you know that the Hershey Chocolate Factory is more than one hundred years old? The father of Hershey Chocolate, Milton Hershey, failed many times in business before he succeeded.
Milton Hershey grew up in Pennsylvania. Before he became interested in making chocolate, he worked as a printer (印刷工人) for a small newspaper at first, and then he thought that printing was not the right job for him.

By experimenting, Milton Hershey discovered the way to make delicious chocolate. The area where he lived had a large and easy supply of milk and sugar, which helped him succeed in his chocolate business. In 1903, Milton Hershey built a huge chocolate factory and a town to go with it.
