no matter what表示“ 无论如何”,相当于whatever,常用来引导让步状语从句,在what后省略了谓语 (happens),类似引导词(组)还有:no matter when/whenever(无论什么时候),no matter where/wherever (无论在哪里), no matter how/however (无论怎样)。
e.g. Don’t trust him,no matter what he says.
不管他说什么都不要相信他。
