1)as long as和so long as均可表示“只要”,
用于引导条件状语从句,两者没什么区别。
如:

2)当 as long as 用于本义表示“与……一样长”
区别:
即 as long as 可用于肯定句或否定句,
而 so long as 只用于否定句,不用于肯定句。

“问题就在这里,牧师,”比尔回答说。“不错,钟能报时了,但是,恐怕每到1点钟,它总要敲13下,对此我已无能为力了。”
“大家慢慢就习惯了,比尔,”牧师说。“13下是不如1下好,但总比1下也不敲强。来,咱们下楼去喝杯茶吧。”
