【教学过程】
Step 1: Lead in
Ask the students to discuss the questions in “Think about it”.
Step 2: Listening
Let the students listen to the tape carefully with the following questions:
1. What are Li Ming and Wang Mei talking about
2. What is Li Ming good at
Step 3: Reading
Ask the students to read the test silently. Then have discussion about the following questions in detail:
1. What does Li Ming hope to do Why
2. What does Wang Mei hope to be in the future Why
Step 4: Language points
1.might与maybe
二者表示 “可能” “或许”, 但词性不同。
might是情态动词,后接动词原形,在句子中作谓语;maybe是副词,常放在句子开头。
例:Maybe he is right. 或许他是对的。
My book might/may be in my desk. 我的书或许在书桌里。
2. good与nice
二者都有“好”的意思。
(1)good是通用词,可以表示各种品质方面的优异,从美学到道德规范几乎都可以使用。
Your dictionary is good, but mine is even better. 你的词典好,而我的更好。
(2) nice表示使人感到“愉快的”,“好的”。
She is a very nice girl. 她是个很好的姑娘。
3.sick与ill
二者表示“生病的”意思。
She has been sick/ill for weeks. 她已病了几个星期了。
ill只作表语,不作定语,而sick可作定语。
4.in the future与in future的区别
in the future“将来,未来”,指今后某一时间段或某一时间点
in future“从今以后”,指说话时开始的将来
5.talk to 和talk with 都表示“和……谈话”,只是talk to 侧重于一方说,另一方听;talk with 侧重双方交谈。
Step 5: Retell
Retell the test with these phrases. Ask the students to retell in groups, then let them retell together, and then retell in competition.
