Step 1 Revision1. Revise the phrases and sentences in the last period.2. Ask some pairs to act out their dialogues 3. Check the preview work. Step2 Warming up 1. T: Many girls in our class have their hair clips .Their hair clips are pretty .They match their clothes well .Are they beautiful Do you mind showing your clips to me Wow, they are beautiful clips .How much do they cost / How much are they 10 yuan .They are quite expensive .Is there a discount on these hair clips now T writes down the underlined words and sentences on the blackboard and get students to guess the meaning of them, then T teaches them. 2. Finish off Exercise B1 on Page 77.Step 3 Presentation Ss look at the screen (a picture of shopping).Teacher communicates with students.T: What is she S1: She is a shopkeeper.T: When we come into the shop, what may the shopkeeper say S2: Welcome to our shop. S3: Hello, can I help you / Hello, what can I do for you T: We can say: “I want to buy ...”or “I’m looking for …”T: How much is it /How much does it cost Encourage Ss to try to answer “It is /costs …”Step 4 Practice Ask Ss to use the expressions about shopping to make up new similar dialogues in pairs and act out in front of the class..Step 5 Presentation1.
