(一) The twelve animals :
T: In China, years have names. Each year has an animal name. Look!
Show the twelve animal pictures, teaches and explains.
The rat is the first.
This is an ox.
Here’s a tiger.
What’s this A rabbit.
This is a dragon.
Here’s a snake.
This is a horse.
You know this animal! It’s a sheep.
You know this one, too! It’s a monkey.
What’s this A rooster.
Do you know this one It’s a dog.
The twelfth animal is a pig.
T：How many animals are there Let’s see…, one, two, three…twelve! ( show the animal pictures and count ) There are twelve animals. 2. Drill about these 12 animal words:

Teaching reflecting:
本课是冀教版五年级上册第四单元Lesson21: What year is it ，本课是在上节课学习了中国最隆重，最传统的节日---春节的相关知识的基础上学习有关于生肖及其排名以及有关于生肖年、今年什么年，你的生肖以及在此基础上拓展学习了有关于你家人生肖的问答句型的学习。本课围绕最基本、最常用的生肖单词及十二个序数词和基本句型：What year is it It is the year of the__.以及有关于你自己及家人生肖的问答句：What is your year My year is the year of the___.逐步展开教学活动和实践活动。同时强调以任务为中心的语言学习，采用完成课题式的教学方法，把探究性学习引入到英语学习中，最后使学生“乐说，会说，能交际”，感觉到学英语“It’s fun. It’s easy”!
本课知识脉络相对清晰，基于以上分析，我的设计力求以学生为主体，以任务为中心，以活动为方式，放手让学生自主发现问题，分析问题，解决问题。
本课教学内容分为两大板块：一、十二个生肖单词及其排序；二、关于生肖年，你的生肖以及家人生肖年的拓展学习。在具体中，我以任务型教学为出发点，设置了交际法（课前互动、第二部分上的对话练习以及第二部分上3组重要句型的师生，生生互动）、活动法（直观出示法、快速反映法以及分类抽叫法）和参与式教学原则（汇报法、任务型、列队排序法）相结合，突出以兴趣为先导，体现师生互动、生生互动的教学氛围。 本课教学内容看似简单，实则繁重，对于学生来说，还是有难度和高度的，所以，力求化繁为简，分散难点，降低难度，激发兴趣，提高参与，全面发言，学生上课效果相对可以，但需课后还做补充，毕竟知识内容含量较大，学生的掌握程度不一样。
