Step 1 Presentation Read these sentences and summarize the grammar rules. 1. Is this your family Yes, it is. That’s my dad. Are these your grandparents Yes, they are. (1) 指示代词是表示“这个，那个，这些，那些”等指示概念的代词。其中this (这个)和 these (这些)指代离说话人较近的人或事物；that (那个)和these (那些)指代离说话人较远的人或 事物。 (2) 指示代词的一般疑问句形式是直接将be动词提至句首。在回答主语为this，that，these，those的一般疑问句时，问句中的this，that在答语中要用it代替，these，those要用they 代替。 2. My dad’s parents are on the right. This is our teachers’ room. This is Lily and Lucy’s room.
