教学内容分析:
(1)本单元内容分析:
本单元介绍国内外的地理知识。通过比较,了解中国以及世界地理知识通过搜寻具体信息,培养寻读(scanning)的能力通过罗列事实及数据,初步学习说明文的写作。
(2)本课内容分析:
3a-3b 部分为写作版块。主要是让学生了解鲸鱼的有关知识,然后根据表格并写一篇关于保护环境,保护鲸鱼的文章,本节课为写作课,主要培养学生写作能力和语言表达能力。
二、学情分析:
八年级学生已经积累了一定的英语词汇,有一定的词汇基础,但初二学生两级分化严重,对写作课的学习稍微有些畏难情绪。因此,此课采用了大量图片、视频吸引学生注意和兴趣,小步子循序渐进以降低难度。
教学目标:
(一)知识目标
根据信息,填写表格并能用所填内容写一段关于鲸鱼的文章。
(二)能力目标
提高学生的写作水平和综合运用英语的能力。
(三)情感、态度、价值观目标
让学生了解由于各种原因鲸鱼正处于危险中,认识到保护海洋生物,保护环境人人有责。
教学重难点
教学重点:提高学生的写作能力
教学难点:培养学生爱护海洋生物、保护环境的责任心。
教学过程

T:Hello Everyone, I am your English teacher, today I will lead you to start a wonderful journey in English. Today's lesson is unit 7, Section B, 3a-3b.First, let's meet a friend today.
2、Activity 1 Guessing
T: Let's Guess Who it is
They are huge animals.
They live in the sea.
They can sing songs.
They can jump high out of water.
They are very clever and also very friendly.
What are they
T:Yes,they are whales.
3、Activity 2 Learn about whales
T:What do you know about whales
T: What do whales look like
S:They are huge
Where do they live
S:They live in the sea.
What do they eat
S: They eat small fish and other sea life.
What can they do
S:They can jump high out of water and sing songs.
What’s their situation
What situation are the whales facing now
Safe Or in danger
S:Danger.
T:Yes,they are in danger,
Whales are in danger because of many reasons.
4、Reasons of danger
T: Let's look at what got them into danger,
Reason one
Human put plastic rubbish into the sea.(塑料垃圾倒入海洋。)
Whales eat plastic and become sick and weak.(误食塑料)
The waves push whales onto the shore.(虚弱的鲸鱼无力抵抗潮汐,被冲上海岸。)

A wildlife keeper puts water on a beached (浅的) pilot whale to keep it alive (活着的). On March 18, 34 pilot whales were beached on New Zealand's South Island. Only five stayed alive. Wildlife keepers said they had been out of the water for a while.
Beached whales are nothing new on the South Island. The beach is known as a death trap (死亡陷阱) for whales, with more than 10 whale stranding events (搁浅事件) in the last 15 years. The largest was in February 2017 when about 700 whales beached. Nearly 250 died reported Yahoo News..

5、Whale protection measures
T:Human behavior is so cruel,

Some kinds of whales are in danger because humans catch them for meat, fat and oil, and use whale parts to make things like candles and soap .Whales are also in danger because of water pollution.
In my view, all governments should make rules on whale protection and stop people putting rubbish into the sea. Meanwhile, we should learn more about whales and protect their environment.
By doing this, whales are certainly able to live a happy life. Therefore

本节课是写作课,八年级学生已经积累了一定的英语词汇,有一定的词汇基础,但初二学生两级分化严重,对写作课的学习稍微有些畏难情绪。因此,此课采用了大量图片、视频吸引学生注意和兴趣,小步子循序渐进以降低难度。
在问候环节就告诉学生认识一位朋友,引起学生好奇心,在导入环节出示句子,让学生猜猜看,激发学生学习兴趣,使学生快速进入学习状态。
先从了解鲸鱼为起始点,然后让学生了解鲸鱼所处的危险处境,让学生知道造成鲸鱼处境的原因,利用报道和大量图片,引发学生保护鲸鱼的责任心,层层递进,符合学生认知,引导学生思考该怎样保护鲸鱼,最后引导学生进行写作。让学生意识到爱护环境,保护镜宇刻不容缓。在作业的设置中以制作海报的形式回顾所学知识。
