The woodcutter told his story to his friends. One of his friends went to the river and dropped his axe on purpose into the water. “What am I going to do I lost my axe.” 
Then, spirit appeared. The spirit listened to his story and dove into the river.
He came out with a gold axe. “Did you lose this gold axe ”
The friend of the woodcutter was so happy when he saw the gold axe. “Yes, that’s right. That gold axe is mine.”
But the spirit has already known that he was lying. The spirit did not give him the gold axe.
