Unit 3 the reading and thinking
Good morning,ladies and gentlemen!It’s my great honor to have this chance to make a self-introduction and share my presentation to you.My name is **,I’m ** years old.I come from Ganzhou,JiangXi province.My hometown is Xunwu,where is near to Ningdu..I am an English majored student graduated from GNNU ,now I’m admitted to YNAU as a part-time postgraduate student.We have classes during the summer and winter holidays.So it’s convenient for me to work as a teacher in school.
In this lesson,I will talk about the reading and thinking part.It is from Unit 3.The background of students is Senior high school students in Grade 10.The teaching material is the book 2 of PEP version.
I want to achieve 3 aims.The first one is to acquire the knowledge by learning some vocabularies about Internet,like:database,software,networks... The second one is to learn by themselves,they can analyze the tense and voice in a sentence. The last one is to fall in love with learning by inspiring their cooperation spirit.
To achieve above goals,there are some teaching key and difficult points.The Key point is to learn some important vocabularies.The Difficult point is to learn the structure and usage of the present perfect passive voice.
I apply the Expository method and Cooperative Learning method to my teaching.
What’s more,I need to use video,PPT and blackboard as teaching aids.
Firstly,I will play a video with a song called“Paralyse”,which is filled with the present perfect passive voice in words.And then show this grammar on PPT,explain the tense and voice in detail to make sure Ss understand the meaning ,structure and usage.So what’s the the present perfect passive voice As we all know,have/has done is the present perfect tense,be done is the passive voice,have/has done plus be done is have/has been done,have/has been done is the grammar structure of the present perfect passive voice.
And then I will ask them to underline the present perfect passive voice in passage.Please look at the electronic book I sent you on page 28.Obviously,we can find “has been written” “have been changed” in paragraph 1, “have been helped”in paragraph 3, “have been greatly improved” in last paragraph.
And then I will divide the Ss into 4 groups.They could discuss with their teammates and assign 4 captains to do exercises on the blackboard. The more exercises they do correctly,the more points they get.And then I will give an award to the champion team.
When it comes to class over,I will repeat the knowledge about the computer and the structure and usage of the present perfect passive voice again.
At last,tell Ss today’s homework is to review the text and the new words and finish tests on exercise book
