Step 1 Lead-in (1 min) Show a picture of the headteacher and several sentences. Remind them that students have learnt the function of nouns. ① Liu Hechun is our headteacher. ② Liu Hechun, our headteacher, sat on the ground. The teacher writes the classification: Subjective, objective, predicative, appositive clauses The teacher starts with the love story in Zootopia to learn more about the four clauses. Step 2 Presentation (4 mins) Look at the following sentences carefully, and try to identify the following clauses. The problem is that Judy doesn’t want to marry Nick.
