读后续写原题目：
Daniel looked at the old shoes carefully."Ryan,your lost wallet is probably near the monkey bars. Your shoes smell like red pine(松树). And .." But Daniel was interrupted by a kid shouting from the playground,"Ryan!I found your wallet!It was under the monkey bars!"Ryan's eyes went wide,but Daniel only shrugged(耸肩) and delivered his trademark words."The truth always comes out."
For Daniel, the truth was like buried treasure just waiting for someone to dig up. And Daniel was good at digging. He had a hard-earned reputation as the best detective in fourth grade.
Daniel had barely made it across the playground before someone else called him. It was Jenny."Daniel! I have a new case for you! It's about Coby Gardner," Jenny said. "His parents picked him up early on Monday, and he hasn't been in school since. He didn't have a cold and never said anything about a vacation. Where do you think he is "
Daniel tackled the new case with his usual attention to detail. He made observations, conducted interviews,and then connected information. But things weren't going so smoothly even after a lot of investigation. Someone had seen Coby's mom driving around town with balloons in her car. Another student accidentally heard Coby talking to a teacher about a waiting room, but she couldn't remember which teacher or which waiting room. And "Haven't seen him since Monday morning" was all Coby's bus driver said when interviewed.
What did balloons, a waiting room, and getting picked up from school all have in common It wasn't Coby's birthday. Lots of places had waiting rooms, but only a few allowed balloons. He imagined himself digging deep, and suddenly he got an idea.
Daniel opened his notebook. He wrote the word hospital and then circled it. Coby had gone to a hospital. But why Was someone in his family sick or hurt Daniel had the strange feeling that he was nosing into Coby's private life. He decided not to dig any more.

情节1）是范文选择的，我们会发现，有些巧妙，且比较好写。其他的选择也说得通，但稍显复杂。
平时多读范文，并思考这个问题：最简方式是什么？
练习多了，你会找到最简方式。
Tip: 接触读后续写时，我们常常用Plot mountain来解释故事的发展，Beginning, Development,Climax, Ending. 我们写的是Ending，是Climax之后的事，所以我们写的部分不应该有很大冲突，重要的是按逻辑写下去，总结故事有意思的地方。这也许是有的同学认为范文“比较平淡”的原因吧。
其实“平淡”帮助我们更好地发挥语言表达水平。
