Listening to your favorite English songs is actually an effective way. Before you listen, you can read first and find out what the song is about. While listening, pick some useful words or phrases. A dictionary may also be helpful if necessary.

Watching a movie is another good and interesting way. “it is wonderful to watch movies, and it can help your English a lot!” said a junior three student. “You can also imitate the pronunciation of the actors.” So choose your favorite movie before watching. 辨析when与while
(1) when意为“当......时候”,从句谓语动词可以是延续性动词,也可以是非延续性动词。
eg. I was watching TV when my mother came back home last night.
I could swim when I was five years old.
(2) while意为“在......时候”,所引导的从句用延续性动词(常用进行时);while也可以作并列连词,表示前后对比,意为“然而,可是,却”。
