Boy 1: Well, here on the bag it says that they were invented by a
cook called George Crum.
Boy 2: When was that
Boy 1: Oh, it was back in 1853.

Boy 2: So, why was it an accident
Boy 1: Well, one day, a customer came into the restaurant where
George worked. He ordered a plate of fried potatoes. When the
potatoes came, he said they were cut too thick and sent them back to
the kitchen.
Boy 2: So what happened
Boy 1: Well, George was angry, so he cut the potatoes really, really
thin, and he cooked them for a long time until they were crispy.
And he put lots of salt on them so they were really salty. He thought
the customer would hate them.
Boy 2: And
Boy1: And the customer loved them and asked for more. He told the
other customers about them, and soon everyone was ordering thinly
cut, crispy, salty potato chips.
Boy 2: And we’re still eating them today.What a cool story!

Language Points

enough修饰名词时不需要倒装。
e.g. There isn’t enough food left in the fridge.
冰箱里剩的食物不多了。
enough修饰形容词、副词时需要倒装。
e.g. He’s tall enough to change the bulb without getting on a chair.
他个头够高,不用踩椅子就可以换灯泡。
enough常可以和词组so ... that ...,too ... to ...转换。例如:
用enough
He didn’t run fast enough to catch up with the others.
用so ... that ...
He ran so slowly that he couldn’t catch up with the others.
用too ... to ...
He ran too slowly to catch up with the others.

in the end的意思是“后来,最后,终于”,in the end用一个单词表达可以用finally,用一个短语表达可以用at last 。
