教学设计
一、教材解读
What:本单元以庭院售卖为载体,让学生学习“谈论所有物”和目标结构“现在完成时表示持续性动作或状态”的用法。本节课是以“家乡”为主题的阅读课。
Why:阅读文章《家乡情怀》,引导学生关注社会、家乡和祖国的发展进步,增强民族自豪感。
How: 本节课以Zhong Wei对家乡感情的变化为主线,读前运用学过的知识预测文本内容。
二、学情分析
通过课前对家乡信息的搜集与整理,学生对家乡也有了一定的了解与认识,为上新课做好了充分的资源准备。有用英语表达的需求。但是学生口头和书面输出现在完成时缺乏话题,灵活运用“现在完成时态”的能力不足,对长篇阅读有畏难情绪。期待通过本节课的学习,强化能力。学生在阅读《家乡情怀》这篇文章时,引导学生感受钟伟的情感变化,关注社会、家乡和祖国的发展进步,对比家乡的变和不变,启发学生思考并培养民族自豪感。
三、教学目标

Step 1.Lead-in
-What is hometown
1.Ss work in groups to discuss the topic and the question together.
【设计意图】:谈论主题“家乡”唤醒已有背景知识,为阅读做铺垫。
1.Show a picture of people leaving their hometown to another place
2.Think the reasons
【设计意图】:联系春节后的返工潮,结合生活实际情况引出本篇阅读的发生场景农村。图片搭配文字展示现实情景。师生互动讨论他们离开家乡的原因,启发学生思考。

【设计意图】:“为何离开故乡”这一问题提前预测阅读内容。
Step 2 Pre-reading Let’s think

1.Predict what they will read according to these two questions related to the title.
2.Enjoy a poetry of Thoughts on Tranquil Night.
【设计意图】:根据标题预测阅读内容,谁的乡情和什么样的乡情,引起好奇心,提高阅读兴趣。播放一首英文朗读版的静夜思,带领学生从朗读的语调和节奏中感受思乡的情感。
Step 3Let’s read While-reading、Fast-reading、Careful-reading
1)Fast-reading
Read quickly and match the main ideas.
【设计意图】:速读文章各段落,将文章大意和对应段落连线,有助于学生熟悉文章框架和结构。
2)Careful-reading
Read para. 1:
-Why do millions of Chinese leave countryside every year
-Who was mentioned (被提及)
From the para 1, we can learn some information about Zhong Wei.

【设计意图】:围绕主人公——钟伟,展开一系列的问答,紧扣文章结构,最后引出感受,与文章标题Hometown Feelings 相呼应。引导学生深层次理解文本中传达的思想感情。

Read para. 2&3:
-Yes. Many people like Zhong Wei care about the changes of their hometown.
Show some pictures of many changes appeared in hometown.
【设计意图】:上一题问引出文章第二段,过渡自然。感知家乡变化和许多像钟伟一样的人对故乡的关心和牵挂。
The memories of Zhong Wei
【设计意图】:以对话填空的形式对比钟伟记忆中的学校和听闻学校将会有的变化,并引导学生关注钟伟的情感变化
Read para. 4:
-Q1: What has become a symbol of Zhong Wei's hometown
-A big old tree.
-Q2: What did he like to do in his childhood
-He liked to play under that big tree with his friends.
【设计意图】:家乡的变与不变形成对比,突出钟伟对家乡的思念。
Step 4 Post-reading
Retell the passage with the mind map.
【设计意图】:把文章标题Hometown Feelings作为树干,钟伟,家乡的变和不变作为主干,画成树状图有助于学生形象记忆,减轻学生输出的难度。——What's your tree in your heart

Back to changes, I want to ask

Besides the government, there are lots of hard-working people who help build their hometown with their knowledge.
There is nothing impossible, so we can do anything.
Step 5 Summary
In this class, first we cared more about the reading strategies. Next, we learned some key words and phrases and enlarged our vocabulary. Then we went on practicing the target language. Finally, we generalize knowledge on our own and develop a good habit of making conclusions.
Step 6 Homework
For A-B level
1. Write an article about changes in their town or city from childhood.
For C-D level
1.Read this passage three times
2.Write 3-5 sentences about your favorite thing from childhood which you still have.
【设计意图】:
1. 作业分层设计,照顾不同层次的学生。
2. 结合阅读主题引导学生对往事的回忆和感悟落到笔上。

八、教学反思
本节课值得肯定的方面可用“融合”二字总结,具体体现在
1.跨学科融合,将唐诗《静夜思》融入到英语教学中
2.将钟伟的情感变化为主线,融入教学各个环节,突破传统授课模式
3.将阅读技巧和策略融入教学中,符合学习的认知策略
但是课程设计中缺少学生合作和以读促写的环节,在往后的阅读课教学设计中,我会增加学生讨论与合作,多设计让学生动笔的环节,帮助学生“口到,眼到,手到”。
