Calligraphy(书法) is a traditional Chinese art form during the long history. And it is really popular all the time.
①Calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing. It's considered as the highest art form in China by some people. The oldest form of Chinese writing dates back to the Shang Dynasty. Back then, people wrote words onto animal bones in everyday life. People called this type of writing the oracle bone script(甲骨文). ② words were written onto bowls and bottles to communicate ideas and record events.
The improvement of paper,ink brushes(毛笔) and ink(墨水) in the Han Dynasty made writing more convenient. Paper, ink brush, ink and ink stone are known as the Four Treasures of the Study. Chinese calligraphers loved writing poems.They expressed their feelings through the use of different poems. One of the most famous calligraphers of all times is Wang Xizhi. Even today, people learn calligraphy by copying the works of Wang Xizhi and other famous calligraphers. After years of practice, they developed their own calligraphy styles that might last for many years.
