并列连词 含义及用法 例句
and “和，并且”，表并列、递进或顺承关系 She is of medium build，and she has long hair. 她中等身材，并且有一头长发。[人教七(下)Unit 9 P49]
用于“祈使句＋and＋陈述句(表结果)”结构 Work hard and you will succeed in the future.努力工作，你将来会成功的。[冀教九(全)Unit 2 P19]

but “但是”，表转折关系 She often tells me jokes to make me laugh，but she never makes fun of others.她经常给我讲笑话让我笑，但是她从来不取笑他人。[上海牛津七(下)Unit 1 P3]

并列连词 含义及用法 例句
or “或者”，表选择关系 British people don't like to shout or laugh loudly.英国人不喜欢大喊或者大笑。[译林牛津八(下)Unit 5 P67]
“否则”，用于“祈使句，or＋陈述句”结构 Be careful，or you will fail the exam. 仔细点，否则你会考试不及格的。
so “所以”，表因果关系 I have to make a speech on Monday, so I must prepare for it.我要在星期一发表演讲，所以我必须做好准备。
并列连词
表并列关系的肯定句中用and，否定句中用or。如：There is no air or water on the moon.月球上没有空气和水。
注意
并列连 词短语 含义及用法 例句
neither... nor... “既不……也不……”，连接两个并列结构作主语时，谓语动词的数遵循“就近原则” Neither Millie nor her friends know about types of personality.

either... or... “或者……或者……”，连接两个并列结构作主语时，谓语动词的数遵循“就近原则” Either I nor my friend makes a mistake. 不是我就是我的朋友犯了错误。

并列连 词短语 含义及用法 例句
not only... but also... “不仅……而且……”，连接两个并列结构作主语时，谓语动词的数遵循“就近原则” Not only Jack but also his parents like pop music actually.不仅杰克喜欢流行音乐，事实上他的父母也喜欢流行音乐。
both...and... “两者都……”，连接两个并列结构作主语时，谓语动词用复数形式 Both he and his brother do well in playing basketball.他和他的弟弟都擅长打篮球。
并列连词短语
连接两个句子时，neither，not only后面的句子要进行倒装。如：Not only can he speak English, but he can speak French.他不仅会说英语还会说法语。

连词(短语) 含义及用法 例句
before 在……之前。表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之前 They need to think before they act and make good decisions for themselves.他们需要在行动前思考，为自己做出正确的决定。[上海牛津九(下)Unit 6 P63]
when 当……时候。引导的从句可以用延续性动词，也可以用短暂性动词 When it began to rain, Ben was helping his mom make dinner.天开始下雨时，本正在帮他妈妈做晚饭。[人教八(下)Unit 5 P36]

while 正当……时；正在……时。引导的从句中，谓语动词必须是延续性动词，且常用进行时 While John was taking photos, Mary bought a drink.当约翰在拍照时，玛丽买了饮料。[鲁教八(上)Unit 3 P20]
as 当……时。表示一件事情正在发生，另一件事情也在进行中，通常只用于一般过去时 As time passed, things seemed to get better.随着时间推移，情况似乎变得更好了。
after 在……之后。表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之后 He became an English teacher after he graduated from school.他毕业后成为了一名英语教师。

until /till 直到……。常用在“not... until...” 结构中，表示“直到……才……” I'm really tired because I studied until midnight last night.我真的很累，因为我昨晚一直学习到午夜。[人教八(下)Unit 4 P25]
since 自……以来。主句用现在完成时，从句用一般过去时 I have lived in London since I was three years old.自三岁起，我就一直住在伦敦。[上海牛津九(下)Unit 2 P25]
as soon as 一……就……。引导的从句常用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时 I will give you a call as soon as I arrive home.我一到家就给你打电话。

if “如果”。从句用一般现在时，主句通常用一般将来时 If you like sightseeing, you will love it！如果你喜欢观光旅游，你会爱上它的！[上海牛津七(上)Unit 6 P73]
unless “如果不，除非”。unless可以转化为if...not...结构。主从句时态与if用法一致 You won't develop your social skills unless you try.除非你尝试了，否则你不会提高你的社交技能。[北师八(下)Unit 4 P42]

whether “不管”；常用于句型“whether...or not”与“whether... or”句型中 Whether the sayings are in Chinese, English, or any other language, they share something in common. 不管这些谚语是中文、英文还是其他语言，它们都有共同之处。[冀教九(全)Unit 8 P116]

4.引导原因状语从句
连词 含义及用法 例句
because “因为”，表示造成某种情况的直接原因，回答why引导的问句，不能和so同时使用 I often exercise at the park because I love the clean air and sunshine.我经常在公园锻炼，因为我喜欢清新的空气和阳光。[人教 七(下)Unit 8 P47]
since “既然”，语气比because弱，表示对方已知或众所周知的原因，通常放在句首 Since we have no idea about this problem, let's ask Mr. Wang for help.既然我们不知道这个问题，就请王老师帮忙吧。

as “由于，因为”，语气比since弱，所引出的理由在说话人看来已经很明显，或已为听话人所熟悉而不需要用because加以强调，引导的从句位于主句前后均可 As it is getting late, I decide to leave now.由于天越来越晚，我决定现在离开。

as if/though 似乎，好像 Everything in my childhood crowded in my mind as if they had just happened.童年发生的一切都涌入我的脑海，仿佛就像刚刚发生的一样。

连词短语 含义 用法 例句
so... that... 如此 …… 以至于 …… so修饰的中心词是形容词或副词，结构为“so＋adj./adv.＋that...”，可与too...to...结构互换 He was so angry that he couldn't say a word. ＝He was too angry to say a word.他如此生气以至于说不出话来。
such... that... such修饰的中心词是名词，结构为“such＋a/an＋adj.＋可数名词单数＋that...”或者“such＋adj.＋不可数名词/可数名词复数＋that...” She is such a lovely girl that everyone around her likes her.
＝She is so lovely that everyone around her likes her.她如此的可爱，以至于她周围的人都喜欢她。

so that 以便……。后接从句，只能用于句中 They sped up so that/ in order that they could get there on time.他们加快速度以便能准时到达那里。
