二、Practice

1. Guide students to look at the pictures in 1a and name each TV Show one by one according to the prompts.
2. Have students look at the pictures and the vocabulary in 1a, and connect the pictures with the correct vocabulary.
3. Check the answers with the Ss

1. Read the shows in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the shows.
2. Play the recording,listen for the first time and number the shows 1-4.
3. Listen again and check the answers.
4. Play the recording for the third time and ask students to read after the recording and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.

1. Let Ss look at the pictures in the box. Then explain the meaning of each expression to the Ss.
2. Let Ss read the conversation after the teacher. Then let Ss make their own conversation using the shows and expressions in the box.
3. Let some pairs ask and answer about the shows.

1. Play the tape for Ss to listen to Lin Hui and Sally’s conversation. Then number the TV shows [1-5] in the order they hear them.

Ask Ss to read the questions first and then answer these questions. Give answers that are true. Call some Ss to read their answers. Ask Ss to say the names of stores in their town and write the names on the board.

动词不定式是由“to+动词原形”构成的,是非谓语动词的一种,在句中不能单独作谓语。由于不定式具有名词、形容词和副词的特征,因此,在句中可以作主语、表语、宾语、定语、状语和补足语。本单元主要学习动词不定式作宾语的用法。
现就动词不定式作宾语介绍如下:
1.能以动词不定式作宾语的动词很多常见的有 want,like, wish,hate,prefer, hope
continue, manage, try, ask, offer, start, forget, promise, mean, pretend, intend.
begin,attempt, decide, learn, desire, agree, care, choose ,determine
undertake,expect等
2.另外 tell , advise , show , teach , find out , decide, discuss , learn , forget
know,explain 等动词(短语)常跟“疑问词+不定式”作宾语
例: Please teach me how to play the piano.请教我怎么弹钢琴
No one could tell me where to get the book.
没有人能告诉我去哪里买到这本书
3.find,think,feel等动词可用于“动词+it +adj/n.+ to do sth”型,其中it作
形式宾语,动词不定式为真正的宾语。
例:I think it necessary for us to have a good rest after the boring work.
