2.Make Ss choose words from the box and write them under the pictures. Each picture can have more than one word.3. Check the answers with the Ss

1. Play the tape for Ss to listen and circle the description words they hear in the box in 1a.
2. Check answers in class.
3. Make Ss listen again and write down the words John and Mary use to describe the TV shows or movies.
四、Do a survey

Ss make a survey, which describe your friend’s favorite movies and write the sentences.
Write the sentences and read them.

1. Make Ss read the passage in 2b and complete the time line.
2. Ask Ss to share their answers with partners.

1.Ask Ss to read the passage again and fill in the facts about Mickey. Before reading, remind Ss to scan the questions in the chart of 2c.

辨析 become, get , grow , go 与 turn
become 多用于书面语,意为“开始变得;变成”,表示由一种状态向另一种状态的转变,强调状态的变化,其后可接名词或形容词
get 用作连系动词时,意为“变得;变成”相当于become,后接形容词作表
语,表示“逐渐变得”的结果
grow 表示渐渐成为新的状态,即“渐渐地变为”,此时相当于get,后接形容词或动词不定式
turn 表示“变化”时,一般指进入不好的状态,意为”(使)变成,成为;转变”,表示和从前完全不同

wear“穿着;戴着”,表示状态,宾语可以是衣帽,也可以是饰物、奖章等
in 介词,后接表示衣服或颜色的词,着重于服装的款式或颜色,它所构成的短语只能作表语或定语
