教学重点:掌握形容词、副词比较级的构成。学习表示对两者进行比较的句式结构。
教学难点:能正确运用对两者进行比较的句式结构,能对人物的外表及性格特征进行描述。
课前准备:多媒体,黑板,粉笔
教学过程:
Leading-in
Show some pictures of people to students. Let them look carefully and find out the differences between them. Ask students tell the differences between them, and review the adjectives they have learned.
二、Practice
New words Show some pictures on the PPT and teach the new words and phrases in this period.

Ask students to look at the words in 1a,and match each word with its opposite. Then check the answers in class.
教学lb
1.Let students look at the picture in 1a,and pay attention to the pairs of the twins.
2.Play the recording,and ask students to number the pairs of twins in the picture. Then check the answers in class.
3.Play the recording for the second time and ask students to read after the recording and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
教学1c
Ask students to practice the conversation in the picture in 1a,and then make conversations about the other twins.Then let some pairs act out their conversations in front of the class.Pay attention to students' pronunciation and intonation.

仔细阅读2a和2b的任务要求和表格,播放2a和2b的录音,让学生听录音的同时注意记录细节信息,听完后完成表格。
再听录音,听完核对答案。

1.Ask students to work in pairs. Tell Student A to look at the chart in 2c and Student B to look at the chart on page 81.Ask and answer questions about Sam and Tom.
2.Then select some pairs to share their conversations in class.

五、Language Points
1. That’s Tara, isn’t it
That’s Tara, isn’t it 是反意疑问句,表示对陈述句所说的事实提出相反的疑问,要求对方用“yes”或“no”来进行回答。
反意疑问句由两部分组成:前一部分是陈述句,后一部分是疑问句,疑问句是由be,have,助动词或情态动词后接主语构成。如果陈述句是肯定结构,反意疑问句须用否定结构;反之,陈述句如果是否定结构,反意疑问句须用肯定结构。反意疑问句的两部分,必须保持人称和时态的一致。例如
He is old, isn’t he 他老了,不是吗?
He never went there, did he 他从没有去过那里,是吗?
无论哪种形式的反意疑问句,回答时要遵循:“Yes,后接肯定式”或者“No,后接否定式”
—The girl is helping her mother with the housework, isn’t she

Jane can both speak and write French.简既会说也会写法语。

形容词和副词的比较级
一、形容词和副词的比较级的构成
构成方法 例词
规则 变化 单音节词和部分双音节词 一般在词尾加-er small→smaller,cool→cooler
以不发音e结尾的单音节词,在词尾加-r large→larger,nice→nicer
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词,先把“y”改为“i”,再加-er heavy→heavier,happy→happier
重读闭音节词且词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加-er hot→hotter,fat→fatter
多音节词和部分双音节词 在词前加more important→more important, outgoing→more outgoing
不规则 变化 good/well→better; bad/badly/ill→worse; many/much→more; little→less; far→farther/further; old→older/elder
二、 形容词和副词的比较级的用法
两者(人或事物)进行比较时,用比较级,表示“更……”,用于说明“前者比后者更……”,than是比较级句型的标志词。其常见的句型有:
1.“A + be +形容词比较级+ than + B”意为“A比B更……”。如:
This house is bigger than that one.这个房子比那个房子大。
2.“比较级 + and + 比较级”表示“越来越……”。如:
It becomes warmer and warmer when spring comes.春天来的时候,天气越来越暖和。
3.“the +比较级…, the +比较级…”表示“越……越……”。如:
The more you eat, the fatter you are.你吃得越多,你就会越胖。
4.“A + be + the + 比较级+ of the two(+复数名词)”表示“A是两者中比较……的”。如:
Mike is the taller of the two.迈克是这两个中比较高的。
5.“A + be +形容词比较级+ than + any other +名词单数+比较范围”可表达最高级含义。如:
Tom is thinner than any other student in our class.汤姆比我们班里的任何学生都瘦。
注意:
1.修饰比较级的词有:much,even,far,a lot,a little,a bit等。
2.表示“和……一样”时,用“as +形容词或副词原形+ as”句型。否定形式用“not as/so +形容词或副词原形 + as”。如:
This film is not as/so interesting as that one.这部电影不像那部电影一样有趣。
