the most expensive model 最贵的型号，expensive是一个多音节单词（音节中含有三个或三个以上的元音音素，称为多音节单词），所以其最高级形式在前面加the most。
大多数两个以上音节的形容词可与more/ less连用构成其比较级；与the most/ least连用构成最高级。如：
This model is less expensive than that one. 这种型号比那种要便宜一些。
Parents are the most important people in a child's world. 父母在儿童的天地里是最重要的人。
<2> It costs five hundred pounds. 它的售价是500英镑。
本句中, cost为动词，表示“价钱为”，可直接跟价格作宾语。如：

cost与spend
cost的主语是物或某个活动，常见结构如下：

Remembering these new words cost him two hours. 他花了3个小时来记住这些新单词。
spend的主语必须是人，常用于以下结构：
sb. spend money/ time on sth. 某人花费多少时间/ 金钱在某事上
She spent 100 on a new dress. 她花100英镑买了一条新连衣裙。

<3> We can’t afford all that money. 我们花不起那么多钱。
afford通常与can、could或be able to连用，表示“ 买得起；负担得起”，尤其用于否定句或疑问句中。如：
He couldn't afford the money to go on the trip. 他不够钱去进行这次旅行。

afford的常用结构：
afford sth.
I can't afford this dress. It's too expensive. 我买不起这条裙子。它太贵了。

pay a deposit of... 付......定金
I paid a deposit of 250 on a car this Friday. 这周五我给一辆车付了250英镑的定金。
You have paid a deposit of ￥1000，haven’t you 您已经支付了1000元的定金，对吗？
and后连接的分句中，then和fourteen之间省略了you can pay。and连接两个句子时，如果句子主谓相同，可以省略and后面分句中的主语和谓语。
