第二课时
【教学目标】
1.语言技能：
（1）能够听懂、会说、认读、默写以下有关形容词比较级的单词：smaller, bigger, thinner, heavier, stronger.
（2）能够正确运用以上单词来对事物进行比较。
（3）能够熟练地运用句型“How heavy are you？/ I’m 52 kilograms. /You’re heavier than me.”进行有关体重信息的交流。
（4）能运用句型“____ fish is形容词比较级than _____.”进行有关“鱼大小与长短”的比较。
2.语言知识：
（1）学会有关体重信息的句子, 能在现实生活中运用。
（2）能根据单词的音、形、义来学习词汇。
（3）能够掌握形容词比较级的变化规律。
3.情感态度、学习策略与文化意识：
（1）积极参与课堂活动，乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语。
（2）在课堂教学活动中，注意倾听，积极思考。
（3）在学习和交际中，初步理解中西语言表达方式上的不同之处。
【教学重点】
1.句型：How heavy are you？/ I’m 52 kilograms. /You’re heavier than me./
Mike’s fish is _____ than _____（第二个空格要填名词性物主代词或者名词所有格）
2.词汇：smaller，bigger, thinner, heavier, stronger
3.“形容词原级变比较级”的规律
【教学难点】
1.比较级词汇与句型在现实生活中的具体运用。
【教学用具】
1.教师准备与本课时相关的图片、课件、录音机与录音带。
【教学过程】
Step 1:warm-up
1.Greeting.师生用英语互相问候。
2.Sing a chant. （唱歌谣，做动作）

【设计意图】不仅巩固复习以前学过的英语知识，这几个单词与本节课的新词汇息息相关，以歌谣的形式出现，并且加上动作，有效地营造活跃的课堂氛围，为接下来的学习做足准备。
Step 2:Presentation
1.Look and say.（看图片，说词汇，以对比的方式逐步讲授新词汇，这一部分有条件的老师，可以使用课件，条件不允许，就可以使用图片。）
教师出示一幅有一个大圆圈的画，引出词汇big，再出示一幅拥有更大圆圈的画，进行对比，引出新词汇bigger.（以同样的方式讲授单词smaller）
教师出示图画，图片内容为身高一样，但一胖一瘦的两个人，通过对比的方式引出词汇thinner and heavier.
最后教师再出示一幅画，图片内容是一个健壮的男子，通过与原先精瘦的人的对比，强调heavier与stronger的不同之处，heavier是重量上比较重，而stronger强调的是精壮。
【设计意图】经历比较的过程，引出词汇，内容清晰，学生易于接受单词的含义。
2.Read and spell the words. （将单词分部分进行记忆并拼读，帮助学生解决词汇的记忆问题）
3.Follow the tape.（跟录音机读单词）
Step 3:Practice
1.Point and say out the words.（教师指着单词，学生快速读出来，刚开始全班一起读，接下来分组比赛，最后请个别学生认读单词）
2.Read the words.（两遍英文，两遍中文）
3.Make sentences.（根据实际情况，使用新学词汇进行英语表达）
E.g. You’re heavier than me.
I am stronger than you.
4.Match and say.（将P7下方的人物图画与鱼进行连线，比一比谁的鱼大，谁的鱼小。）
E.g. Mike’s fish is ________ than __________.
5. Make a summary.
T：What did we learn this class
教师和学生一起总结本课时的教学重点，先由学生谈谈自己学了什么，教师再进行总结。
Step4: Homework
1.听录音，熟读课本 P7 单词与句型。
2.小练笔：你和你的好朋友，谁更高？谁更重？谁更强壮？用几句话介绍一下你们两位的情况吧！
3.完成本课时配套的练习题。

解析：heavy的结尾是一个辅音字母和y字母，简称“辅y”结尾，当形容词以“辅y”结尾的时候，要变成比较级，就变y为i再加er.

1.一般情况下直接加上er. ( small – smaller)
2.辅音字母加上y字母结尾，
变y字母为i，再加er. （heavy-heavier）
3.“大、瘦”双写最后一个字母，再加er.
