Step 1 Warm up 1. Greeting. 2. Revision. T: (Show a map of China.) I’m from Beijing. It’s in the north of China. Where are you from Where is your pen friend from Step 2 Look and say 　 1.　(Show the text’s picture. Point to the Simon and ask) T: Who is he ( He’s Simon. ) Where is he from ( He ’s from New York, America.) Where is New York T: (Show a map of America.) This is a map of America. Can you find New York (引导学生在地图上找到纽约的位置。向学生说明：纽约是美国的应该重要城市。) 2. Play a game 在地图上标注东(east)，南(south)，西(west)，北（north），帮助学生复习这些单词，并注意纠正他们的发音。老师领读单词。学生能够读准后做一个游戏巩固新单词：根据老师的口令做动作。 如：Please turn to the east. Please turn to the north. Please turn to the north. Please turn to the west. 采用小组竞赛的形式展开游戏。两组学生上前执行口令。老师随意发出口令，学生要尽快执行口令。老师不断加快发出口令的速度，以加大难度。执行错口令的同学被淘汰，直至一组学生全部被淘汰则另一组获胜。 Step 3 Presentation 　　1. T: Open your books please and look at Unit 2, Activity 2. T: This is a map. What can you see on the map ( Mexico and Canada, Now York, San Francisco) 　　 T: Listen and point to the places on the map. Where is New York ( It’s here, in the east. ) And what about San Francisco ( It’s in the west.) 2. Practice the dialogue with a partner; use the information from the map. 3. Show a map of China, and then ask the students to practice the dialogue in groups. A: Tell me more about China. Where’s Qingdao B: Qingdao is … 4．Divide the students into two groups and practice the dialogue in activity 1. And then ask some pairs to present in the front of the class.(鼓励学生表演时运用生动的动作和表情。) 5. Listen and repeat. 听录音，跟着录音朗读句子。提醒学生注意句子中的重音部分，注意朗读时的语音和语调。 Step 4 Listen and chant. Open your books and look at Activity 4 on Page 5. listen carefully and then chant. 出示一面美国的国旗，请学生边听边看，熟悉韵诗的大致内容。然后向学生讲解他们不理解的内容，如单词Tennessee等。再播放录音，请学生看书跟着读。鼓励学生依据韵诗的节奏和韵律自己编排动作，边跟读边表演。 Step 5 Play a game Play a guessing game. 让学生用一般疑问句来提问，根据被提问的同学的回答获取信息，猜出被提问的同学的身份。 Step 6 Summary Step 7 Homework
