第一课时
【教学目标】
1.语言技能:
(1)能够读懂听力题目要求,学会听前预测要听的重点内容,完成听力检测题,预测即将发生的故事。
(2)能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意,并能回答对话下面的问题。
(3)能够用正确的语音、语调朗读对话。
(4)能够听、说、读、写并在情景中恰当运用句型How tall is it It’s … How tall are you I’m…It’s/I’m …than …比较人或动物的外貌特征。
(5)能够在语境中理解单词dinosaur, hall, metre, than, both的意思,并能正确发音。
(6)能够完成对比自己与同学身高、年龄的活动。

Step 1:warm-up
1.Greeting.师生用英语互相问候。
2.Let’s try. 教师引导学生完成Let’s try 部分的练习。
(1)Look and describe the picture.(解决词汇dinosaur,并预先推测听力题目。)
(2)Read the questions.(看两道题目,了解听力任务。)
(3)Listen and circle the right answer.(听录音,抓住关键信息,圈出正确答案。)
(4)Check the answer.(师生共同解答问题,学生不清楚的部分,教师加以讲解。)
Step 2:Presentation
1.Read and answer the questions.(阅读课文,回答问题.)
Q1:How tall is the tallest dinosaur (Maybe 4 metres.)
Q2:What are the dinosaurs like (They’re all so big and tall.)
Q3:How tall is Zhang Peng (He is 1.65 metres.)
Q4:Who is taller, Zhang Peng or the small dinosaur (Zhang Peng is taller.)
【设计意图】带着问题来读课文,目的性强,帮助学生初步有意识地感知课文,提高搜索关键信息的能力。
2.Follow the tape and analyze the text.(听录音,跟读,师生共同分析文章大概内容。)
(1)Where are Zhang Peng and Mike ( In the museum.)
(2)Are there any dinosaurs in the museum (Yes, there are. There are many dinosaurs here. There are more dinosaurs over there.)
(3)Zhang Peng is taller than the small dinosaur.

3.Read and analyze the key sentences.(师生共同赏读核心句型)
(1)Ask and answer.(教师针对课文中的对话与图画进行提问,学生回答问题。)
T:Which dinosaur is taller?The green one or the brown one?(引导学生回答:The green dinosaur is taller than the brown dinosaur.)
(2)Let’s find.(教师呈现三个句子,学生找出句子的共同之处。)

(3)Describe the main scene.(用新学句型描述P2-3主情景图的内容。)

1.Do a survey.(做一个班级小调查,了解班里谁比你年龄大,谁比你高,例子如下。)
