一、单元分析:
本单元主要话题是谈论看病。课文通过苏海和 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )医生,迈克和牙医的对话来理解句型:What’s wrong with--- What should ---do 及其回答。教师可以充分利用书本材料进行教学与操练,也可以让学生们用should和should not 给出建议。教师可引导学生结合以前学过U7和U8的词汇和句型进行扩展表述。本单元中,学生需了解摄氏和华氏温度的区别。这也是英美国家文化的一个内容。
二、单元目标:
知识目标
1. 在课文情景中学生能够听懂、会说、会读 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )对话中出现的词汇:brush one’s teeth, drink water, eat sweets, have a rest, take medicine.
2. 学生能够谈论看病的话题,针对不同的情境活用日常用语should和should not 给出建议。
5. 能理解并掌握字母ch 的发音规律,熟记例词。
能力目标
1. 学生能正确理解Story time, 并能小组合作表演对话;
2. 学生能熟练运用本单元所学的词句在不同的情境中谈论看病这一话题;
3. 学生能正确理解、朗读Cartoon time中的故事,能读懂其中的趣味之处,能在教师的指导下表演故事;
4. 通过小组合作讲述故事内容,并能够添加文本内容进行文本扩充;
5. 学生能了解摄氏和华氏温度的区别。
情感目标
1. 让学生体会到阅读故事的乐趣,培养学生阅读的兴趣。
2. 让学生体会到运用英语解决实际问题的能力。

Fahrenheir(华伦海1681-1736)命名的,其结冰点是32°F,沸点为212°F。摄氏度的发明者是Anders Celsius(1701-1744),其结冰点是0°C,沸点为100°C。华氏度与摄氏度的换算: 华氏度比摄影氏度小。一华氏度等于5/9摄氏度。从华氏度变成摄氏度的公式是: (华氏度-32)× 摄氏度 也可以这样算: (华氏度-32)×5÷9=摄氏度 将摄氏度换算为华氏度的公式是:摄氏度÷ +32=华氏度或者:摄氏度×9÷5+32=华氏度32是个什么数字呢? 水的冰点是0摄氏度(0℃),是32华氏度(32℉),也就是说,用摄氏温度表测量,水到0°结冰;如果用华氏温度测量,水的结冰点是32°。
让学生初步了解摄氏和华氏温度的区别,通常英美国家使用华氏温度。
