where引导的特殊疑问句用来询问某人或某物在什么地方，其基本结构为：
Where is the bag 包在哪里？
Where are they 他们在哪里？
where 引导的特殊疑问句的结构
Where are + 复数形式的主语
注意：该结构的主语可以是：the+名词 / 形容词性物主代词+名词 / 人称代词主格。
Where is + 单数形式的主语
Where is 可缩写为 where’s； 但是where are 不能缩写。
补充：
1、where引导的特殊疑问句也可用于询问人的位置、地点，回答时用相应的人称代词主格作主语。
—Where is / Where’s your sister
—She is in the classroom.
—Where are your parents
— They are in the living room.
2、如果对方不知道某人或某物在哪里, 可以说“Sorry, I don't know. ”。
—Where is the video tape 录像带在哪里？
—Sorry, I don't know. 对不起, 我不知道。
Language points
以where开头的特殊疑问句：用来询问人或物在什么地方。
其结构为：“Where is +主语（单数） ”或“Where are +主语（复数） ”
e.g. Where is my eraser 我的橡皮在哪里？
Where are the keys 钥匙在哪里？
注意：该结构的主语可以是：the+名词 / 形容词性物主代词+名词 / 人称代词主格。
非正式场合也可省略主语和be动词，直接用介词短语回答。
e.g.—Where are my books 我的书在哪里？
—In the classroom. 在教室里。
如果不知道某人或某物在什么地方， 可以说“Sorry, I don’t know.”
e.g.—Where are they 他们在哪里？
—Sorry, I don’t know. 对不起，我不知道。
回答时不能用 Yes 或 No，而应根据实际情况回答出物品所在的位置。其结构为：“主语 + be动词 + 介词短语 + 其他”
e.g.—Where are your keys 你的钥匙在哪里？
—They’re in my room. 它们在我的房间里。
方位介词on, in 与 under的用法
on 在……上 一个物体在另一个物体的表面上，且两个物体之间有接触。
in 在……里 一个物体在另一个物体或某一空间的内部。
under 在……下面 一个物体在另一个物体的正下方，两者可以接触，也可以不接触。
My watch is on the table. 我的手表在桌子上。
They are in the room. 他们在房间里。
The basketball is under the chair. 篮球在椅子下面。
