一 、教材分析
本模块为 Go For lt 八年级下册第八单元的Section A的听说部分。本部分谈论了外国经典名著，激发了学生对文学作品的兴趣，增强了对西方文化的认识。本单元听说板块采用任务型设计思路。1a为听力前活动，通过提问与中文四大名著引入听力内容。1b根据听力技巧的指导，创设情景，快速寻找信息，完成表格，让学生对听力文本有一个整体的了解。1c是一个同辈活动，学生两两一对相互提问回答，练习相关语言表达。2a-2b为细节性听力任务，通过问题辅助捕捉文本细节，并关注了相关语言表达。2d通填补空白的方式引导学生理解语篇，让学生继续进行对西方经典文学进行讨论，激发学生后续的学习兴趣，加强学生的文化意识。
二、学生学情分析
八年级的学生善良单纯，热爱学习，既热爱中国文学，也对西方文学有一定的兴趣。本单元的学习他们会学习和运用基本的现在完成时的用法。该班学生英语学习基础较好，对听力文本信息的抓取问题应该不大。本单元的话题有非常深远的文化意义，让他们在学习中，在听说中，更多的了解西方文化，同时取其精华、去其糟粕，增强本民族文化的认同感。通过这部分的学习，对提高学生的整体听说能力有较强的帮助。
三、教学目标
1.掌握本单元词汇，听懂、掌握谈论读书的语言材料。
2.能听懂语言材料，掌握听的技巧。
