Let’s try to speak English as much as possible. 让我们试着尽可能多说英语。 (1) try to do sth. 表示“努力去做某事,尽力做某事”。 He tried to take good care of his sister when his mother was out. 他妈妈出去时他尽量照顾好他的妹妹。 (2) as much as possible 尽可能多地 类似的还有as soon as possible“尽可能快地”。 2. Why not write down our mistakes in our notebooks 为什么不把错误记在我们的笔记本上呢? (1)“Why not … ”用来表示提出建议,相当于“Why don’t you/we… ”。 Why not take a walk after supper = Why don’t you take a walk after supper 你为什么不晚饭后散步呢? 【拓展】类似表示提出建议的句型还有: How about … What about … Would you like … Let’s … (2) write down 意为“写下,记下”,与put down同义。 Let’s write down the correct answers.让我们写下正确的答案吧。 How about writing down your ideas 写下你的想法怎么样? 3. Yes, that’s good for our pronunciation. 是的,它有益于我们的发音。 be good for 表示“对……有益”,其反义短语为be bad for“对……有害”。 Eating more vegetables is good for your health. 多吃蔬菜对你们的健康有好处。 Playing computer games is bad for our eyes.玩电脑游戏对我们的眼睛有害。 5. I agree with you.我同意你的观点。 agree with sb.表示“同意某人的看法、观点”。 agree on sth.表示“同意某事”。 Step 6 Practice 1. Ask the students to finish Activity 4 on Page 3:Underline the correct words and expressions.
