一、句子成分
句子成分 意义 位置
主语 S (subject) 句子的主体;谓语陈述、说明的对象,说明动作由“谁”发出 一般位于句首
谓语 V (verb) 表示主语的行为或状态;是英语句子的灵魂、核心 主语之后
宾语 O (object) 表示行为或活动的对象、接受者或受影响者 及物动词或介词后
直接宾语 DO (direct object) 直接宾语表示动作的直接承受者,一般是物 动词后
句子成分 意义 位置
间接宾语 IO (indirect object) 间接宾语表示动作是对谁或为谁做的,一般是人 动词后
表语 P (predicative) 用来说明主语的身份、性质、状况等 系动词后
宾语补足语 C (object complement) 补充说明宾语的动作和状态 宾语后
状语 A (adverbial) 说明动作“何时、何地、如何”发生;说明形容词或副词的程度 位置自由

二、句子的基本结构
1.主语+谓语(S V)
这种句型中的谓语动词为不及物动词,故不能直接接宾语,也没有被动语态。主谓结构常用来表示主语的动作或状态。
S(主语) V(不及物动词)
Time flies.
The moon rose.
All the students left.
2.主语+谓语+宾语(S V O)
在此句型中,谓语动词为及物动词。及物动词本身需要一个动作的承受者(即宾语)才可以表达完整的意思。作宾语的可以是名词、代词、动词不定式、动名词、从句等。
S(主语) V(及物动词) O(宾语)
Who knows the answer
The old man enjoys living in the countryside.
My friend said he would go with me.
3.主语+连系动词+表语(S P)
该句型中,谓语动词不能表达完整的意思,必须加上一个表明主语身份或状态的表语构成复合谓语才能表达完整的意思,这类动词叫连系动词。
S(主语) Linking-v.(连系动词) P(表语)
This is an English dictionary.
The dinner smells good.
The weather became warmer.
4.主语+谓语+间宾+直宾(S V IO DO)
该句型中的谓语动词必须跟两个宾语才能表达完整的意思。一个是表示人的间接宾语;一个是表示物的直接宾语。一般间接宾语在前,直接宾语在后。
S(主语) V(及物动词) IO(指人) DO(指物)
Mother’s love gives us encouragement and strength.
She cooked me a delicious meal.
I told him how to run the machine.
5.主语+谓语+宾语+宾语补足语(S V O C)
本句型中的谓语动词虽然是及物动词,但是只跟宾语还不能表达完整的意思,必须加上一个补充成分,如形容词、名词、介词短语、动词不定式、分词等。
S(主语) V(及物动词) O(宾语) C(宾语补足语)
We should make the school more beautiful.
He asked me to come back soon.
I saw them getting on the bus.
6.主语+谓语+状语(S V A)
在此句型中,主语和谓语是不可缺少的主干成分,状语是一种修饰成分,用于修饰动词、短语或句子。状语可以由副词、介词短语、名词、形容词、非谓语动词或状语从句等充当。
S(主语) V(不及物动词) A(状语)
The teacher walked out of the classroom.
The accident happened the day before yesterday.
My sister writes with a pencil.
7.主语+谓语+宾语+状语(SVOA)
在此句型中,谓语为及物动词,后面接宾语,宾语的后面可以跟副词、介词短语、动词不定式等作状语。
S(主语) V(及物动词) O(宾语) A(状语)
I plan to find a job in a foreign company.
We will attend the meeting at 3 pm.
You can solve the problem in this way.
8.There be句型
There be表示“某地有某物”,There在此结构中是引导词。There be 后面的名词是句子的主语,当be动词后接两个以上的主语时,be动词与最临近主语保持数上的一致。
There is an eraser and two pens on the desk.
课桌上有一块橡皮和两支钢笔。
There are two pens and an eraser on the desk.
课桌上有两支钢笔和一块橡皮。
