Brownie and Spotty were neighbor dogs who met every day to play together.One evening,Brownie’s family noticed that Brownie hadn’t  1  home.They went looking for him with no success.Brownie didn’t  2  the next day,despite their  3  to find him.

Passage 2
A merchant sent his son to learn the secret of happiness from the wisest of men.
