1）keep是常用词,指“使继续下去”“保持……”,如: keep the room clean.保持室内清洁。
2)以keep为中心的短语: keep up with 跟上,不落后;与……并肩前进keep from 阻止；抑制keep in touch with sb.和某人保持联系keep an eye on sth. 照料；照管

3. 在宾语从句中，除了要注意引导词和语序外，还应注意宾语从句的时态，一般遵循下面三个原则：
（1） 主句是一般现在时，从句可以根据实际情况选择不同的时态
e. g : 1. I think he is watching TV now.
2. He asks me when I visited Beijing.
3. The listeners tell us that they won the first prize last week.
（2） 主句是一般过去时，从句也应该使用相应的过去时态：即一般过去时、过去进行时、过去将来时和过去完成时
e. g : 1. He asked what he was doing at that time.
2. I was quite surprised when I heard that I was the winner.
3. He told me he would go to Beijing the next year.
（3） 当从句表示客观事实、普遍真理、自然现象时，不管主句是什么时态，从句一律用一般现在时
e. g : My teacher told us that the earth goes around the sun.
