第三个课时：Part 4 A story –The seal
教学重难点：

课文分析：Emma提议他们一起go ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) snorkeling去潜泳。Go snorkeling 特别指戴有snorkel水下呼吸管进行的游泳活动。有了snorkel即使把脸埋在水面下也能继续呼吸。Mike可不愿错过。不过对Mike这个游泳高手来说，没有mask面罩和flippers脚蹼怎能充分享受游泳的乐趣呢？这不，他让Emma等等，因为他要去取他的游泳装备：I’ll get my mask and flippers.这一句中get是取(某物)、接(某人)的意思。Emma和Mike登上小船后Dad说We’ll go and get it我们出发去接它，其中的get也是这个意思。
在故事里动词get出现了很多次，但 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )不是每一次的含义都相同的：Get第二次在故事里出现是在句子Let’s get closer里面。Mike发现了the baby seal并建议他们靠得更近些。这一句中的get是变得、达到某种状态或者情况的意思。
The baby seal受伤了，仅凭Emm ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )a和Mike的力量是没有办法help帮助它的。所以他们果断的决定go back回去找人帮忙。找人帮忙用英语说是get help，这时候help是名词，动词get是得到、获得的意思。
爸爸要Emma和Mike上 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )船时也用了get这个单词：Get into the boat到船里来。Get是来到或者到达某个地点的意思，常常和to、into、in搭配使用，
经过一番努力，Emma、 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )Mike and Dad终于把小海豹弄上了船，可是他们不知道下一步该怎么办。Where can we take it 我们可以把它送到哪儿去？现在只有call打电话给Ken Jones. He can help.它能够帮忙，因为He knows a lot about seals.

Chris克里斯住在澳大利亚Austral ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )ia, 他最喜欢的海滩在Magnetic Island麦格耐提克岛上，那儿是欣赏大堡礁Great Barrier Reef 的绝佳地点。Great Barrier Reef是由珊瑚虫的分泌物和遗骸堆积而成的珊瑚礁。大堡礁的珊瑚体厚达几百米，是数以亿计的珊瑚虫用几十万年的时间慢慢营造起来的。它的建筑规模之大，令人叹为观止！
