“Don’t touch the machines, please!”
I.Today I’m going to ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) talk about Unit1 of Module1 New Standard English, Book8. This unit includes three parts: Listen, point and find, Listen and say, Practise. In section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about “Don’t touch the machines, please!” And in section 2 and 3, it provides a real situation for the Ss to practise the pattern: Don’t……,please! 1. Aims on the knowledge
To enable the Ss to u ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )nderstand the general idea of the dialogue, Make sure that Ss can use the main sentences in a simple way.
2. Aims on the abilities
(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening reading and speaking.
(2) To train the Ss’ ability of understanding and working in groups
(3) To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and their innovation.
III. Key-points of this lesson
(1) To help Ss understand the dialogue and read it fluently
(2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.

V. Teaching methods
As we all know: the m ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )ain instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: TPR, guessing game, finishing a survey and having a competition. And in this lesson a recorder, CAI, school things will be needed. I’ll finish this lesson in five steps.
1. Step 1. Warm-up and preview

2. Free talk between T and Ss about crisps.

Step 2. Presentation

Play the cassette and present the main sentences:

Listen again and answer the questions:
How many steps to make the crisps
Wash the potatoes
Cut the potatoes
Put the crisps in the bags
