Step 1 Preparation
1 Greeting and daily English
2 Free talk

Step 2 Presentation
1 Revision 1. Magic eyes.
a.T: We all know how to express some illness. For example, have a cold, have a fever, etc. Now look at the screen, and say the related words loud.
(Show them the pictures on the PPT, ask them to read)
b. listen and choose.
T: Tim is ill. What’s wrong with him? How does he feel and what should he do?
Please listen and try to tick the correct answers.

Q2 How does he feel?
Q3. what should he do?
Ss:……
Check their answers.
C. Who can retell the listening text in your own words?
T ask Ss to retell the listening material.
T: Do you know how to talk about illness now?
(Finish the second part of ticking time )
2.Revision 2: talk more.
(Show some pictures about the patients and doctors. Lead Ss to give some advices. Lead pupils to use the sentence patterns and their own advices to make dialogues.
e.g. ---what’s wrong with you?
--- I I have a headache.
Dr: How long have you been like this?
B: For two days.
Dr: Open your mouth and say “Ah…”
B: Ah…
Dr: Then let me take your temperature.
Five minutes later
Dr: I’m afraid you have a cold. I think you should have a rest and drink more water. Take this medicine twice a day. You’ll be better soon.
B: Thank you, doctor. I will follow your words.
T: choose one picture and try to talk about it with your partners.
Check some groups.
3. Think and write.
Read and finish the tasks of think and write.
Ss talk about their answers in groups.
Check their answers.
Ss think of more situations and give advices.
