There has been a great argument(争论) over whether AI will replace teachers in the classroom. 1 Others disagree. They think that the value a good teacher brings, not only to the classroom setting, but to the development of a child’s confidence and creativity outside the classroom, is the very reason why teachers can’t be easily replaced.
AI is already being used successfully in many fields. 2 But can AI possibly cut down on the teaching work too Of course. 3 Just imagine how happy they will be if they don’t have to mark hundreds of papers.
However, I do not believe AI will be able to imitate the human mental conditions totally, especially our emotional intelligence(情商). What makes learning unforgettable is shared experience and human interaction(人际交往). 4 But it hasn’t been proved that robots can imitate this well.
I also believe we need to continue to celebrate our kids’ personality(个性) and their ability not only to make decisions but also make the right decision. 5 And they are given the space to experiment.
