Analysis of the Teaching Material 本节课是Section B的第一课时,是一节听说课,围绕 “新年计划(New Year's resolutions)"话题展开,语言输入量多。它是学生对 Section A中所学知识的巩固、拓展与提升运用。1a-1b通过图文匹配和对话练习帮助学生复习谈论自己将来的打算。1a中出现的短语是Section A中未出现过的,它们为后面1c-1d的听力材料的呈现提供了词汇储备。1c-ld以“谈论新年计划”为话题展开听力练习,自然贴切地运用1a中刚学的词组,能让学生进一步体会目标语言在真实语境中的运用。1e是一个两人问答活动,学生可以自行组织对话,灵活度较大。教师需运用多种训练方式使学生把听到、读到的语言信息转换为他们能说、能写的语言素材,对于学生能力的提升起着非常重要的作用。综上所述,本课在本单元具有承上启下的作用。
Analysis of the Students 学生在学习了Section A谈论理想的职业和实现理想的举措的基础上,对用英语表达未来的打算有了一定的基础,但不同层次的学生掌握的程度也不一样,本节课学生可以进一步讨论“新年计划(New Year's resolutions)"话题,学习进度慢的同学可以借助课本1a中的内容自编对话操练,听力活动设计成P-W-P模式。听前做好充分的铺垫,有助于学生听力活动的顺利进行,也有利于听后的语言输出。听中活动注重听力策略的引导运用。听后活动达到应用目标语言的目的。该班学生学习不积极,主动性差,要鼓励学生勇敢表达,进行反复大量的操练达到掌握目标语言的目的,逐步养成良好的学习习惯。
Analysis of Teaching Objectives Language ability 1.学生能运用以下单词及短语:resolution, team, foreign, able, be able to, question, meaning, discuss, promise, beginning, write down, physical, themselves, have to do with; self-improvement, take up, hobby, weekly, schoolwork 2.学生能运用以下目标句型谈论自己和他人的新年计划和决心。 ─What are you going to do next year ─I’m going to take guitar lessons. ② Many resolutions have to do with self-improvement. ③ They’re going to take up a hobby like painting. ④ Sometimes the resolutions may be too difficult to keep.
Learningability 1.能听懂关于谈论新年计划的对话,并能从中获取关键信息。2.灵活运用所学的目标语言,为实现自己的新年决心和计划作最大的努力。
Thinking quality 1.通过学习,学生能够合理制定计划,并努力完成计划。2.学会制订未来计划,学会养成良好的学习习惯;培养学生的逻辑表述能力,激发学生的积极思维,并使学生互相了解,增进友谊。

Step 1Lead-in 1.T plays video to show what’s a New Year's resolution and then have a discussion.2.Brain Storm. T shows some pictures and asks: What’s your New Year’s resolutions 看视频,初步了解并讨论新年计划。头脑风暴,说说自己的新年规划。 利用视频,引入新年规划,然后通过图片引导,激发学生谈论个人新年规划,进一步活跃课堂气氛。
Step 2Pre-listening 1.Go through 1a. T asks Ss to match the pictures with the New Year’s resolutions. Number the pictures [1-5].2.T have Ss learn the different resolutions that are commonly used. Write on the board:hobby study health3.Go through 1b. Step3While-listening 1.T lets Ss look at the picture in 1c, guides Ss to use picture clues. provide guided listening and speaking practice with the target language.2.T plays the recording and asks Ss to circle the resolutions you hear in 1a. 3.Listen again. Write how the people are going to make their resolutions work.4.T asks Ss to listen and fill in the blanks 观察图片,进行听前预测。抓取前期预备的关键词,完成1c任务单。再听录音,获取Lucy、Kim和Mike的resolution,完成1d表格。 再听录音,完成听力内容短文填空。 听前熟悉词汇,听中获取关键信息。通过听录音完成表格的活动,培养学生听中提取关键信息的能力。

1.本节课的设计体现了听说课的基本模式,围绕“新年计划(New Year's resolutions)"话题展开,语言输入量多。2.本节课体现了任务型教学的设计理念,逐层递进,逐步完成各个任务,使学生在每一个愉快的学习任务中体验英语的乐趣;3.对于听力部分,在听之前都做了相关的渗透与铺垫,有利于培养学生学习英语的良好习惯。听前,听中,听后三个活动一环套一环,环环相扣,过渡自然流畅。
有待改进 虽然调动了学生的积极性,学生参与度不够。2备课不仅仅要备教材,还要备学情。要根据学生英语基础的实际情况,设计适合的梯度活动来提高课堂教学质量。
