Analysis of the Teaching Material 本课是一节阅读课。活动2a-2e是以 New Year's resolutions为主线,以贴近现实生活的 resolutions为话题展开阅读活动,阅读语篇介绍了resolutions的定义、种类、特性等,设计了将句子放回原文、匹配段落大意、根据短文内容回答问题、用文中出现的重点词组造句等任务链活动,旨在帮助学生在掌握语篇信息的同时,发展相应的阅读技能,提升阅读策略。
Analysis of the Students 学过本单元前面内容后,学生有了一些知识储备,对be going to结构已经比较熟悉,上一课时已经学过New Year’s resolutions了,但是对 resolutions的细节问题,如:什么是 New Year's resolutions,它的种类有哪些,不同种类的 New Year's resolutions有什么共同点等却不甚了解。这就需要学生利用所读语篇真正理解 New Year's resolutions以及将来时的含议以便能在后续的写作中能准确、灵活地运用该时态。该班学生学习不积极,主动性差,要鼓励学生勇敢表达,进行反复大量的操练达到掌握目标语言的目的,逐步养成良好的学习习惯。
Analysis of Teaching Objectives Language ability 学生能运用以下单词短语及句子:able; promise; improve; beginning; question; write down; physical; have to do with; self-improvement; take up; weekly; schoolwork; meaning; hobby; 1.When we make resolutions at the beginning of the year, we hope that we are going to improve our lives.2. Some people might say they are going to take up a hobby like painting or taking photos, or learn to play the guitar.2.学生能通过阅读,能运用目标语言谈论和制定New Year's resolution。
Learningability 1.学生能学会从文章中提取关键信息,归纳每段段落大意,2.能阅读关于新年计划方面的文章,学会养成良好的习惯,从而制订合理的人生规划。3.通过三个方面的讲解,让学生学会制订未来的计划。
Thinking quality 1.通过学习,学生能够合理制定计划,增强目标意识。2.培养学生的阅读理解能力,提高辨别是非的能力。
Cultural awareness 1.激发学生们的学习主动性和学习兴趣,让他们思考自己的理想或目标,并为实现自己的理想或目标而不断努力。2.每个人都有自己的梦想和对未来的打算,对于将来想要从事的职业也充满了憧憬。 因此,应通过学习文本内容正确引导学生确立新年目标,并为之奋斗,做坚持梦想的人。
Teaching Points 1.重点:(1)阅读文章及句子获取相关信息。(2)通过阅读文章,掌握本课词汇并培养学生阅读技能。2.难点:理解并运用本课时的目标语言。
Teaching Procedures Teacher’s Activities Students’ Activities Intention
Step 1Lead-in 1.T lets Ss Watch a video and have a discussion:What are the man’s New Year's resolution 2. Brain Storm.T asks: What New Year’s resolutions are you going to make in 2023 Then lets some Ss tell their questions. 学生观看这个有趣的视频并讨论。大声说出自己的计划。讨论计划完成的可能性。 通过图片和视频导入本课时主题---新年规划。并鼓励学生积极讨论,激发学生学习兴趣,为本节课的阅读激活思维。
Step 2Pre-reading 1.Go through 2a. T let Ss discuss the following questions with a partner2.Predict. T leads Ss to think about:Keeping resolutions is easy or difficult 学生说出看法。完成2a.带着问题思考。跟着老师节奏进入阅读环节。 通过抛出问题,学生思考“新年计划的可行性”。通过预测,激发学生阅读的兴趣,进一步活动课堂气氛。
Step 3While- reading T leads Ss to skim the article and match each paragraph with the main idea. Go through 2b. T lets Ss read the letters [A-D] loudly and write it in the correct places. Brain Storm: Classify these resolutions into the 3 kinds.T asks Ss to Read Para 3 Carefully and answer the question: Why do people hardly ever keep resolutions Go through 2d.T lets Ss read the passages again and answer the questions with short sentences in 2d. 学生快速阅读文章,找出段落大意。学生根据老师提示,快速阅读文章,完成2b任务。仔细阅读Para.2的三种规划。条理性列出趣味活动。学生仔细阅读Para.3,完成2d任务单。 通过快速阅读,掌握段落主旨大意,完成短文填空。带着问题细读文章1,2,3段,目的性更强,有助于学生更好地理解文章意义。在回答问题中,进一步掌握文章内容。
Step 4Post-reading 1.T leads Ss to finish the mind map of resolution: Meaning, Kinds, Ideas.2.Go through 2e. T asks Ss to find these phrases in the passage. Then write your own sentences with them. 3.T leads Ss to think about: How to make a better resolution How can we keep resolutions 跟着老师完成resolution思维导图。学生跟着老师学习2e的6个短语并运用.跟着老师总结怎样做好规划并执行。 系统性梳理resolution。掌握重点词组。通过阅读,提升意识。
Step 5Language Points Explanation 1.planning为名词,表示“计划;规划”等意思2.have to do with这个结构表示“与……相关;与……有关联或有关系”3.情态动词may表示推测,相当于汉语的“可能;或许;大概”之意。4.英语中too…to…是一种固定结构,表示“太……而不能够……”5.动词keep意为“履行(诺言等);遵守(惯例等)” 将知识点做好笔记。 将本节重点汇总,系统讲解和分析,结合典例,帮助学生学习知识点。

本节课的设计体现了任务型教学的设计理念,如何围绕阅读提取必要信息。整个阅读教学过程中由易至难,逐层递进,逐步完成各个任务,使学生初步学会如何补充所缺句子、总结归纳段落主旨大意以及关注细节回答问题等阅读策略;为培养学生良好的阅读习惯做了铺垫。
有待改进 在导人环节中,学生对was/were goingto结构的正确使用以及对原因描述的表达存在一些困难,教师必须提供合理的语言提示来帮助学生完成任务。
