Why do we call this reading system Braille? Because it was created by Louis Braille. So it was named after him.Louis Braille was born in 1809 in France. When he was young, he had an accident and became blind. Then he invented this special language for the blind.How much do you know about Louis Braille?Do you know the raised dots below?Google1. At Braille’s time, what were the books for blind people like? Were they convenient for use?
Books for blind people used paper pressed against metal wire to form letters. They were too heavy and not convenient for use at all.
