Nowadays, Western festivals are becoming popular with the young people in China, especially Christmas and Valentine’s Day. But whether we should celebrate these festivals has become a subject of heated discussion.
Some believe celebrating Western festivals is a sign of globalization, and that celebrating Western festivals is a good opportunity for the Chinese to know?more about other cultures. Those who are against it hold the view that celebrating Western festivals will make young people forget our own traditional festivals.
In my opinion, we should preserve the traditional Chinese culture as well as stay open to Western ones, so that we can celebrate both Chinese festivals and foreign festivals.?Step 3: SummaryHolidaysNew Year's DayInternational Labour DayThe Youth DayChildren's DayNational DayInternational Women's DayWhat Chinese public holidays do you know?Step 3: SummaryFestivalsChristmasFool’s?DayValentine’s?Day
