一、模块主题 本模块的话题是生日,是学生比较感兴趣的话题。生日对每一个人来说都十分重要,过生日不单是一种个人行为,也是反应一定的文化特点。
二、模块内容分析 U1是邀请朋友参加自己的生日聚会,内容涉及中国孩子和外国孩子怎样过生日,能让学生认识外国的生日文化,比较中西文化的不同,并借此培养和提高学生的跨文化社交意识。 U2是精选生日礼品,课文介绍了不同人的不同爱好,教师能够在教学中概括总结怎样表达爱好,并设计为同学组织一次生日聚会帮助同学运用这些表达方式。 U3是复习单元,对学生在前两个单元中已中沃的知识技能进行总结与综合性的练习。
三、学情分析 这单元你的教学对象是初一的学生,他们学习英语的热情和积极性较高,思维活跃,爱表现,爱活动,经过大部分学期的学习,他们能在教师的指导下,主动参与活动,合作探究,有相当一部分学生能用英语表达自己的意向。
四、模块教学目标 通过本单元的学习,学生能够: 目标a:能用“Would you like to… ”。发出邀请 目标b:能掌握频度副词的使用;能正确运用动词第三人称的单数形式及掌握形容词性物主代词的用法。 目标c:card, party, present, would,always, great, cake, never, cut, give, sing, happy, choose, wear, shoe, spend,money, film, song, usually, sometimes, often, ect. 目标d: 能读懂关于生日庆祝的短文和识别人们的爱好。能描述家人或朋友的喜欢特点并为其挑选生日礼物。

三、教材分析: What---语篇主题和主要内容 根据新课程标准的要去,这节课以培养学生能力为主。本课内容是谈论个人爱好,然后根据爱好选择生日礼物的一篇文章,主题接近生活实际,可以从自己想要什么生日礼物的话题谈起,学生容易生产学习兴趣,然后过渡到本单元如何为他人选择礼物的读写活动,通过逐步递进,有易到难的教学活动,培养学生根底语言能力,阅读能力和听说能力,最终实现听说读写的综合学习,实现本模块的任务教学。 Why---语篇传递的主题意义
本模块主题为挑选生日礼物。课文非常清楚地说明了选择礼物的基本原则:根据对方的喜好选择礼物。课文介绍了不同人的喜好,教师可以在教学中归纳总结如何表达喜好,并设计相关的活动帮助学生运用这些表达方式。 How---文体结构、语言特点及功能 频度副词在一般现在时中的应用以及部分重点短语的应用。结合she often goes to concerts这些带有频度副词的句子的学习,实现培养自主学习和合作学习的能力的发展和培养。
四、 教学目标: 学习能力目标: 学会词汇: great, cake, never, give, sing, happy, choose, wear, shoe, money, film, song, usually, sometimes, often, special, secret, CD, magazine, scarf, silk, get some exercise, expensive, match, weekend, hear from, afraid. 学会句型:What would you like to...... 能够读懂关于选礼物的短文。 能够读懂并识别人们的爱好。 思维品质目标: 培养乐于交友,乐于与他人合作,健康向上的品格。 文化意识目标: 了解不同国家的人们赠送生日礼物时不同的风俗习惯。

六、教学过程

T: If it is your birthday, what presents would you like ” S:I’d like a box of chocolates. 从视频开头和free talk 导入课文讨论,完全符合学生的水平。通过视频引出生日礼物的话题,活泼课堂气氛,培养学生大胆说英语的习惯。在教师和同伴的帮助下,分角色表演,呈现核心语言的真实语境运用,并对其中的语言,行为以及同伴的表现进校多角度评价。(应用实践)Step 2 Presentation 1.Learn the new words. Show students some pictures and check the new words. 2.Ask the students to label the picture with the words from the box.(Activity 1) 3.Scanning Ask students to scan the passage and answer: Who does the passage talk about 4.Skimming Ask the students to skim the passage and match the people with what they like doing.( Activity 2) Let the students check the answers. 5.Careful reading (1)Paragraphs 1 and 2: Read para 1 and 2, then answer the following questions. How often do Daming’s grandparents get some exercise Does Daming’s mother like chocolate How many silk scarves does she have got (2) Paragraph 3 and 4: Does Betty’s cousin like reading? What does she often do Does Tony’s sister like music (3) Let the students fill in the blanks after reading it. Organize some students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that that they found in this paragraph.
