There are many ways to help improve your health like eating healthy food, taking exercise and getting medical help. But the easiest and cheapest way to improve your health is just to sleep eight hours or more every night.
The problem with sleep is that more and more people in the world are not sleeping enough. According to the World Health Organization over half the people in the world may be sleep-deprived. Having less sleep not only makes people feel tired but also causes accidents. Also sleep problems can cause medical problems such as high blood pressure(血压).
Why are so many people sleep-deprived Part of the reasons may be cultural. In the American culture, people put a higher value on work than on sleep. It seems that the less you sleep, the more work you'll do.
How do we teach these people to learn the value of sleep Perhaps they may listen to the advice of Dr. James Maas an expert(专家) in sleep. He says ,"Sleep is like a credit(信用卡) card. When you sleep less, you are only borrowing time. You always have to pay it back. The more hours you don't sleep, the more hours you shouldn't sleep to‘pay back’the hours on your ‘sleep credit’card.”
For those who value work more than sleep, they should listen to what a famous person once said. “Don't think you will be doing less work because you sleep during the night. That is a foolish(愚蠢的) idea which is held by people who have no imagination. You will be able to do more.”

Have you heard about“Survival Holidays” It is for children to go into a lonely place for outdoor activities. Now about 1,100 companies are allowed to take children to do the outdoor activities without their parents. The reason why people like “Survival Holidays”is that they think being close to nature is good for children. On average, children spend over twenty hours watching TV and playing computer games every week. “Survival Holidays” gives them an important chance to change.
Is “Survival Holidays” a wonderful idea Maybe it is. Children need more free time to play. They need to live on their own without adults staying with them. Parents usually care too much about their children. They like to see the children being busy with activities that are controlled by them. And this will cause a lot of problems, Children don't know what to do when they are in danger. Even something like crossing a small river or falling down seems very terrible to them.

How to Protect Ourselves
Dear friends,
Everyone has only one life. We should treasure our lives. But how can we protect ourselves Here are some suggestions.
Firstly,we should realize the importance of safety. We shouldn't break the traffic rules when we go out. As for food, we should eat more healthy food and less junk food. We should make sure we don't hurt ourselves when we play sports or games. By the way, even though it's getting hotter and hotter these days, we mustn't swim in the river without permission.
Secondly,self-preservation is one of the key skills. If we are in danger, we should keep calm first. Then call the police at 110 or ask the teachers or parents for help. We should avoid injuries as much as possible and keep ourselves safe.
In a word, we should try your best to protect ourselves and value our lives.
That's all. Thank you!
