单元主题意义 本单元的主题属于“人与社会、人与自我”范畴。本单元以“custom”为话题,学习不同场合的礼仪,了解不同国家的风俗习惯,在体验中外文化的异同中形成跨文化意识,拓展文化视野,增进国际理解。
单元教学目标 通过本单元的学习,学生能够: 目标a:学生能够使用be supposed to do 或者be expected to do 谈论不同国家人们初次见面时的礼仪 。 目标b:能够使用be supposed to do 或者It’s polite /important /important to do sth 介绍中国的餐桌礼仪和法国的餐桌礼仪,找到不同餐桌礼仪背后的文化差异。 目标c:学生通过阅读了解哥伦比亚和瑞士两国人们对于时间、拜访朋友和制定计划的不同观念,从而了解两国的文化差异。 目标d:学生通过学习不同国家的文化习俗,指导哪些是应该做的,哪些是不应该做的,在体验中外文化的异同中形成跨文化意识,拓展文化视野,增进国际理解。 与核心素养的关系: 学生通过听说读写活动,在真实的语境中感知、应用、熟练和掌握本单元的目标语言;学生在体验中外文化的异同中形成跨文化意识、拓展文化视野,增进国际理解;学生能够进行分析理解判断等高阶思维活动,并且能够运用色i为导图把零碎的知识系统化;学生能够从文本知识入手,又能透过文本知识探究背后的文化价值;能够从细节入手,也能够将细节的、零碎的知识系统化,学习策略就是在学习活动中形成的,不断积累后形成一种学习能力。
整体教学思路及教学结构图 1.来源& 内容: 本单元是《新目标英语》系列教材之一!第十单元的内容,本单元的话题是文化礼仪,谈论不同国家的不同情境下的文化习俗,设计的国家有the United States , Japan , Korea , Switzerland , Brazil , Mexico , China , France等。Section A 部分的重点是了解各国礼仪方面的差异,学习用be supposed to 和be expected to 句式询问习俗和表达建议。Section B部分利用重点句式It’s polite /important /impolite to do sth让学生了解和熟知不同国家人们的不同风俗习惯。 2.纵向知识关联: 功能: 谈论不同国家的习俗和你应该做的事情。 话题: 礼仪、习俗 语言知识: 能正确使用下列词汇: passport , clean..off , blackboard , northern , coast , season , knock , eastern , take off , worth , manner 进一步复习巩固学习Section A 部分所学的生词和短语。 掌握be supposed to , be expected to , be important to 的句型。 进一步了解不同国家的风土人情,体会文化礼仪差异,了解中国的基本礼仪。 3.横向知识关联: (1 )复习八年级的相关词汇; (2 )本单元出现be supposed to ,be expected to ,be important to用法,巩固已学。 教学结构图:

Dear Cindy,
You must be excited about coming to China soon. It is helpful to learn as many of the customs in China as possible. These basic manners will help you enjoy staying in China.
First of all, let me give you some suggestions about visiting the Chinese people. When you meet the Chinese people for the first time, you are supposed to shake hands. You shouldn't kiss them. It's polite to smile and say hello to them. You should knock at the door before entering the room. And it's polite to do so. It's polite to call first if you want to visit your friend.
Then, it is helpful to learn as many of the table manners as possible. It's polite to wait till everyone is at the table. And you are not supposed to use your chopsticks to hit an empty bowl. You shouldn't stick the chopsticks into the food. It's very impolite to point at others with your chopsticks. It is also rude to speak with your mouth full. If you know the manners,I think you will enjoy yourself in China.
When you go to China, you'd better remember the saying: when in Rome, do as the Romans do.
