D(2022·湖北十堰模拟)
Social media (社交媒体) is certainly an interesting place to learn others' opinions. You can read everything from strange ideas to true facts and everything in between. But when you're spending time online and reading so many opinions, it's quite possible that you'll sometimes see someone write something that you strongly disagree with.
In fact, you might feel so strongly that you feel like you should reply to this person at once. You might do some research, find some facts of your own and reply to what they've written. You finish writing out your reply, click (点击) "Post" and win the argument!Except that it's not really much of a victory. Most people don't like it when other people disagree with their ideas, especially online strangers. It's unlikely that they will change their opinion just because you argued with them. In fact, it's possible that you made them feel more confident that they're correct.
And the thing is, when you get in these kinds of fights online, it slowly influences you.You might not know it at first, but the argument that you take part in can actually have a bad effect on your mood. If you argue often, you start to enjoy arguing and then end up doing it even more. It's a dangerous cycle.
I guess the best thing to do is to tell yourself that most arguments aren't worth it. There are much better and more interesting things to do, whether online or in real life.
( )31.How does the writer feel about social media
A. People seldom use it to argue.
B. Many people use it to express their opinions.
C. It is a good way to connect with strangers.
D. You can't know other people's real ideas.
( )32.What does the writer tell us in Paragraph 3
A. Arguments can change people's minds.
B. Disagreeing with someone won't change their mind.
C. People who post their ideas on social media are usually incorrect.
D. It's easy to win arguments online.
( )33.How may arguing online affect you
A. You will face a lot of dangers.
B. You will become more confident.
C. You might feel bad and argue more.
D. You will get better at arguing.
( )34.What is the writer's advice
A. Argue until you find the truth.
B. Don't discuss problems with strangers.
C. Try to communicate in real life instead of online.
D. Find something better to do instead of arguing.
( )35.Which of the following can be the best title for the passage
A. No Freedom Online
B. True Facts on Social Media
C. Are Fights Online Worth It
D. Victory Against Strangers
四、(2021·河北石家庄外国语教育集团月考)任务型阅读(共5小题,计10分)
  阅读下面短文,按要求完成36~40题。
After months of study, you have some time to relax. So, why not read a book Well, some people will say, "Why trouble ourselves with books We have the Internet and other media that offer a lot more colorful programs. Books are history!" But don't be fooled. There's still a lot to be said for reading.
One clear reason is that a well-chosen book is a wonderful collection of words and expressions. If you have a good dictionary, I think it's far easier to learn standard (标准的) English than from the TV or the Internet.
Books give you something that the media can not. The web page is always full of pictures and the text is often designed to make it as easy to read as possible. Though "easy" may be welcome, unluckily it's of little use for any long-time development of reading skills and the general language level. For that, there's still no substitute (替代品) for a book.
However, perhaps the best reason is that simply choosing what you read and doing it by yourself mean that it's something you do by and for yourself. You can choose what you want to read. It's hard work, but while you are reading, you'll find that what once seemed like a duty is now a pleasure. In a word, reading books can bring us pleasure.

One possible version:
With the popularity of live streaming, more and more people like to share their lives on the Internet. Some show tasty food they are eating, some show places they are visiting or activities they are having and others show their special talents.
In fact, sharing daily life on the Internet is a good way of not only making our life become more colorful, but also making other people know more about us. What'smore, some people can even make money by doing live video streaming. But every coin also has two sides. Our private information may be stolen by some bad people and used to do something bad.
As a teenager, I think watching TikTok can make us relax, but it might be wise for us to limit the time we spend on it every day.
