Eradajere Oleita, the 26-year-old student and environmentalist from Detroit, is asking for help from local snack lovers.
Rather than throw your empty chip bags into the dustbin, give them away so she can turn them into sleeping bags for the homeless. It is called the Chip Bag Project.
Oleita and her volunteer helpers collect the empty bags which chip eaters drop off. After they sanitize (消毒) the chip bags in hot water, they cut them open, lay them flat, and iron(熨) them together. They use some cloth from old coats to line the insides.
It takes about four hours to make a sleeping bag and each takes around 150 to 300 chip bags, depending on whether they're single-serve or family size.
The result is a sleeping bag that is "waterproof (防水的),lightweight, and easy to carry around," Oleita told the Detroit News.
Since its start in 2020, the Chip Bag Project has collected more than 800,000 chip bags and created 110 sleeping bags since last December. Sure,it would be simpler to raise the money to buy new sleeping bags. One of the CCTF's special activities is the Spring Bud Project. In 1989, millions of children in the country, aged from seven to fourteen, were unable to attend school. Eighty-three percent of them were girls. Because of this, the CCTF launched the Spring Bud Project to help them. Since then, the project has helped millions of girls return to school. It has also built a lot of schools.
The very first "Spring Bud Class" was in Guangxi in 1989. The Spring Bud Project paid for me to attend that class. It also rented a room close to the school for me.

Chen Lin is a doctor who is from Hengyang. After his graduation from Peking University, he works in an office for a large organization. And this job can sometimes be just as exciting and dangerous as being an explorer.
Chen Lin works for MSF, an organization also known as Doctors Without Borders(无国界医生). MSF sends trained doctors all over the world to help people after a war or a disaster(灾难). Chen Lin has travelled to many places to organize programs that help people in need.
At present, there are about 27,000 trained medical staff taking part in MSF projects and tasks. The organization received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999. All kinds of doctors can volunteer for MSF. They need to be prepared to go almost anywhere in the world and, of course, they should expect difficult conditions. Doctors with experience in tropical (热带的) diseases are especially useful because most of MSF's work is in Africa. When MSF accepts a doctor for a task, he has to go for at least six months. Eradajere Oleita, the 26-year-old student and environmentalist from Detroit, is asking for help from local snack lovers.
Rather than throw your empty chip bags into the dustbin, give them away so she can turn them into sleeping bags for the homeless. It is called the Chip Bag Project.
Oleita and her volunteer helpers collect the empty bags which chip eaters drop off. After they sanitize (消毒) the chip bags in hot water, they cut them open, lay them flat, and iron(熨) them together. They use some cloth from old coats to line the insides.
It takes about four hours to make a sleeping bag and each takes around 150 to 300 chip bags, depending on whether they're single-serve or family size.
The result is a sleeping bag that is "waterproof (防水的),lightweight, and easy to carry around," Oleita told the Detroit News.
Since its start in 2020, the Chip Bag Project has collected more than 800,000 chip bags and created 110 sleeping bags since last December. Sure,it would be simpler to raise the money to buy new sleeping bags. But that's only half the goal for Oleita— whose family moved to the United States from Nigeria ten years ago with the hope of achieving a better life—and her volunteers."We are devoted to making an effect not only socially, but environmentally," she says.

One of the CCTF's special activities is the Spring Bud Project. In 1989, millions of children in the country, aged from seven to fourteen, were unable to attend school. Eighty-three percent of them were girls. Because of this, the CCTF launched the Spring Bud Project to help them. Since then, the project has helped millions of girls return to school. Chen Lin is a doctor who is from Hengyang. After his graduation from Peking University, he works in an office for a large organization. And this job can sometimes be just as exciting and dangerous as being an explorer.
