The analysis of teaching materials
Section B is the second part of this unit. In 2a-2b Ss have to learn some new words and do some reading .
The topic of this lesson is resolutions. Such topic is related to our daily life. It’s helpful to arouse Ss’ learning interest. This lesson is in Section B, if students learn it well, they can not only master the simple future tense, but also learn to make resolutions. And meanwhile, their reading skills will be improved.

The students in my class have learnt English for about five years, they know some words and reading skills. But some of them are poor at English. They can’t even understand simple English. They don’t like remembering words, they are afraid of reading passages. However, almost all of them show great interests in English learning. They are so active in class , so taking on this point, I’ll prepare some videos and mind maps to attract them to participate in class learning, and help them to improve their reading ability.

Teaching reflection
This is a reading class, it aims to improve the students’ reading skills . In this class, students learn to make resolutions by using “be going to” sentence structures. It is a little difficult for the students. And because of the limit of time , students need to read the passage loudly and futher understand it in the next clsass.
